JO1 and FANTASTICS members run like crazy! Making of the movie “Run for Money” PV released

■ “I was reminded of the amazingness of the content “Run for Money”” (FANTASTICS Sato Taiki)

In the milestone year of its 20th anniversary, the hugely popular TV show “Run for Money” has been adapted into a drama film, “Run for Money THE MOVIE,” which will be released nationwide on July 19th.

The making-of PV – Escape Part 1 – has now been released, capturing a look behind the scenes at the harsh filming location of the “escape action” scene in which the star-studded cast, including members of JO1 and FANTASTICS, sprint at full speed.

The cast members all spoke of how overwhelmed they were by the large-scale filming, saying “The scale (of ‘Run for Money’ depicted in this film) is just incredible, including the number of participants” (JO1 Kawanishi Takumi), “I was reminded once again of how amazing the content of ‘Run for Money’ is” (FANTASTICS Sato Taiki), and “It felt like I was drawn into the big screen” (JO1 Kaneshiro Aomi).

Their words suggest the scale of the film, but the behind-the-scenes footage shows the cast running nonstop. “It’s really fast… (laughs),” says FANTASTICS’ Reiya Seguchi, out of breath, during the filming of the scene where they try to escape from the hunters at full speed. Kawanishi and Sato run at full speed across the Tokyo Dome grounds and collapse to their knees. JO1’s Kimata Shoya also looks back and says, “Everyone really put their bodies on the line and did their best, and I’m amazed they were able to run that much,” showing the extremely harsh behind-the-scenes of the filming.

Furthermore, this film is not just about the escape from the hunters, the “escape action” is also one of the major highlights. As FANTASTICS’ Nakajima Sota said, “The fear when the wild hunters appear is on another level,” the level of the hunters who drive them into desperate situations has also been powered up. In this film, vicious enemies called wild hunters also appear, and the video also shows Kaneshiro attempting advanced action such as slipping through obstacles in a dark corridor to escape from the wild hunters, and we can see how each of them worked hard despite being covered in wounds.

The making-of footage builds anticipation for a series of breathtaking, nail-biting scenes as the cast members show their determination to tackle the film.

At the end of the video, familiar faces from “Run for Money” such as Hasegawa Masaki (Nishikigoi), HIKAKIN, Tsuda Atsuhiro (Diane), and Kuro-chan (Yasuda Dai Circus) also appear. “My muscles are already sore (even though we filmed just a few hours ago)” (HIKAKIN), “I was surprised that no one was laughing (in my scene) as much as I expected…” (Tsuda), “I don’t know what’s going to happen next…” (Kuro-chan), and so on. Keep an eye out for the performances of the regulars who are perplexed by each of them.

This film is attracting a lot of attention as a drama film adaptation of the popular drama “Run for Money” that features six members of JO1 and FANTASTICS as the main cast. The film was shot on an unprecedented scale, and the cast members gave it their all in the extremely harsh “run for money” action scenes. This is a new and exciting attraction movie on an overwhelming scale.
