From TiU to Daisuke Fujiwara! The first work after the name change is a three-song EP including the song “Nanigenai Nichijou” which is the “episode 0” of his music career.

In May, Fujiwara Daisuke changed his artist name from “TiU” to his real name, “Fujiwara Daisuke,” and announced that he would be pursuing a musical career in the future. He will be digitally releasing his first work since the name change, “Naniganai – EP,” at midnight on June 26th.

“Naniganenai – EP” contains three new songs. The first song, “Naniganenai Nichijou,” is the first song that Fujiwara has produced as an artist. It is the “episode 0” song that is the origin of Fujiwara’s musical activities, and is filled with his desire to become an artist, “I want to be someone who colors ‘Naniganenai Nichijou’ with music,” which was what made him want to start making music.

The second song, “Omajinai,” with its lyrics “Go away, it hurts, it hurts,” and the inclusion of a child’s voice at the beginning, is a song that brings back nostalgic memories of the casual feelings we all had as children.

The third song, “My Peaceful Love,” is a “Love & Peace” song, as its title suggests, filled with warm feelings for the important person who is by your side.

In his previous releases, “HAPPY HUMAN” and “Human Melody,” many of the songs were centered around his playfulness and childlike innocence as an entertainer and focused on his “self,” but the three new songs included in “Naniganenai – EP” are centered around the “feelings” he has for “the other person (you).”

The album contains three songs that he wants to share with us now, as he has turned 20 years old and is able to depict a worldview that only he could have, opening up his mind from the “inside” to the “outside,” and continuing to evolve from TiU to Fujiwara Daisuke.

In conjunction with this announcement, the cover photo for “Nanigenai – EP” was also released. Previous cover photos have been illustrations full of individuality that reflect his musical style, but this time Daisuke Fujiwara himself appears on the cover photo.

While it looks like a snapshot of “ordinary everyday life,” it also looks like a moment moving lightly towards the future, making it a fitting jacket photo for Fujiwara Daisuke’s first release.

In 2024, Fujiwara Daisuke will make further strides as an artist, delivering music that adds color to the “ordinary daily lives” of all generations, regardless of age or gender. Be sure to check out his new calling card, “Nanigenai – EP.”

■ Comment from Daisuke Fujiwara
Four years ago, the initial impulse that made me want to become an artist was because I wanted to create music that would color our everyday lives, something that seems obvious but isn’t. The first song on the EP, “Naniganenai Nichijou,” is the first song I ever wrote when I was 16 years old. After I changed my name to Daisuke Fujiwara, I wanted this song to be the first song, so I decided to release it.
I hope that this song, along with the other two, will become a part of the lives of those who listen to it and will be loved for a long time.
