Kenshi Yonezu’s new album “LOST CORNER” to be released



■Includes many tie-up songs, including the theme song for “Wings of the Tiger,” “Goodbye, See You Again!”, the theme song for the movie “The Last Mile,” “Junk,” and more!

Kenshi Yonezu has announced that he will release his sixth album, “LOST CORNER,” on August 21st.

This is the first album in about four years since their previous album, “STRAY SHEEP,” which set a record for the highest ranking by a Japanese artist on the 2020 annual global ranking, “IFPI Global Album All Format Chart 2020,” and has sold over 1.9 million CDs in total.

The songs included are “Sayonara Mata Itsuka!”, the theme song for the NHK morning drama “Tora ni Tsubasa”, “Garakata”, the theme song for the movie “The Last Mile” to be released in the summer of 2024, “Tsuki wo Miteita”, the theme song for Studio Ghibli’s “How Do You Live?”, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, “Tsuki wo Miteita”, the theme song for the game “FINAL FANTASY XVI”, “LADY” and “Everyday”, the commercial songs for Coca-Cola “Georgia” in Japan, “KICK BACK”, the opening theme for the TV anime “Chainsaw Man”, which was the first Japanese artist to rank in the TOP50 on the Spotify global ranking and the first Japanese song to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), “M87”, the theme song for the movie “Shin Ultraman”, “POP SONG”, the PlayStation commercial song, and “Pale Blue”, the theme song for the TV drama “Rikokatsu”. The product will be released in four formats: a limited first press “junk edition” which is a special edition with merchandise enclosed in the CD, a limited first press “video edition” which comes with a Blu-ray or DVD, and a “regular edition.”
