NewJeans debuts in Japan! Their Japanese debut song “Supernatural” is “a song you can’t get out of your head once you’ve heard it”

■The fan meeting “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome” will be held at Tokyo Dome on June 26th and 27th!

NewJeans released “Supernatural” on June 21st at 1pm, making their Japanese debut.

NewJeans has already demonstrated their immense popularity and influence in Japan by winning a series of awards at major music awards ceremonies and selling out all seats for two fan meetings at the Tokyo Dome. Now they are about to begin full-scale activities in Japan.

Their Japanese debut song, “Supernatural,” is a New Jack Swing style song with a nostalgic atmosphere and the members’ soft vocals. It samples the iconic ad-lib and bridge from “Back of My Mind,” a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Manami in 2009, and is reinterpreted by producer 250.

NewJeans described “Supernatural” as “a song you can’t stop listening to once you’ve heard it,” explaining, “The intro and Pharrell Williams’ improvisation are intense, and the synth sounds and beats that follow are really fun.”

The track “Right Now,” which was announced ahead of the album’s release with a music video that stands out for its vivid colors and sensual beauty, features the members’ soft vocals in contrast to the fast beat of drum and bass. NewJean said, “This is a song that highlights our coolness and mature charm.”

NewJeans will also appear on various Japanese music programs, and will hold a fan meeting “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome” at Tokyo Dome on June 26th and 27th.
