Shintaro Morimoto (SixTONES) stars in the drama “The Street Terasu Yatsura” Blu-ray & DVD BOX release decided



■The savior of this shopping district with a bleak future is… me!? A human entertainment of laughter and bonds unfolding in a dilapidated shopping district with shuttered shops.

The Blu-ray and DVD box set of “The Guys Who Illuminate the Streets,” Morimoto Shintaro (SixTONES)’s first solo lead role in a primetime drama, will be released on November 20th.

Masayoshi Takeno, the owner of a cake shop called “Koinomi” that is struggling to stay afloat in a rundown shopping district, is approached by his childhood friend Araki with a proposal. If it works, he can pay off his debt… Even though he knows it’s wrong, Masayoshi gets involved in a bad deed to protect his precious store and his family… And from there, the drama takes an unexpected turn!

The cast is diverse, including Morimoto Shintaro (SixTONES) as the main character, Takeno Masayoshi, who turns to crime to protect the cake shop he inherited from his father, Tsukishima Rui as Fukagawa Rina, the liquor store owner’s only daughter, Hamano Kenta as Araki Taichi, Masayoshi’s childhood friend who runs a billiard hall, Uno Shohei as Kusakabe Shigeru, a detective investigating the incident in the shopping district, Yoshikawa Ai as Sawamoto Erika, Sota Ryosuke as Shun, a frivolous young man who is a regular at the billiard hall, Hagiwara Mamoru as Masaki, and Minagawa Sarutoki as Fukagawa Ryuichi, Rina’s father, a typical no-good dad who spends all his time drinking the alcohol sold at the liquor store.

In addition, a cast of unique actors, including Ito Kentaro as Omura Koichi, a man who greatly influences Masayoshi’s fate, Morikawa Aoi as Masayoshi’s wife Takeno Aya, and Funakoshi Eiichiro as Omura Ichiro, the eccentric chairman of the local shopping district, bring together a human entertainment of laughter and friendship that unfolds in a dilapidated shopping district with closed shops.

The Blu-ray & DVD BOX’s bonus footage includes a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of this work, which is Shintaro Morimoto’s first lead role in a primetime drama.
