■Kome Kome Club performs “Just Because You Are Here” with original choreography by FANTASTICS!
Season 4 of FANTASTICS’ terrestrial TV show “FUN! FUN! FANTASTICS” will begin airing on Nippon Television on July 2nd.
“FUN! FUN! FANTASTICS” is a situation comedy in which the members of FANTASTICS appear as themselves and receive direct instruction from legends in various fields about the culture of the 1980s and 1990s. Tatsuya Ishii (KomeKome Club) will appear as a guest on the first and second episodes.
Ishii shared the story behind the formation of Kome Kome Club, one of Japan’s leading bands, and the behind-the-scenes story of how the band’s name was decided, saying, “At first, we were really embarrassed to even say the name of our band…” In addition, the members were moved by the miraculous episode of the moment when the smash hit “Romantic Flight” was born, saying, “Romantic Flight?” and “Amazing…”
Furthermore, when he received an offer to use the triple million-selling mega-hit “Kimi ga Iru Dake de” as the theme song for a TV drama, he revealed a secret story behind the creation of the song, saying, “I just kept writing songs, and I think I wrote over 30.” He also revealed the price of the costume used on the jacket for “Roman Flight.” Everyone was astonished at the unexpected amount.
In the studio live show “BACK TO REQUEST” where they play covers of classic songs that are a little nostalgic every week, they will perform “Kimi ga Iru Dake de” with FANTASTICS’ original choreography. They will also try their hand at the “prologue” that introduces the song.
