Special preview video released for the drama “1122 Good Couple” x Spitz theme song “iO (Shuuri no Uta)”

■What does the future hold for Kazuko (Takahata Mitsuki) and Niya (Okada Masaki), a couple who have overcome the chaos?

A special trailer for the theme song “iO (Repair Song)” by Spitz, featuring footage from the drama “1122 Good Couple,” has been released.

The drama “1122 Good Couple” is a love story about a slightly unusual “form of marriage” that maintains a relationship by “allowing extramarital affairs, i.e. officially recognized affairs,” and Takahata Mitsuki and Okada Masaki play the married couple Ichiko and Otoya. In addition to the two co-starring for the first time, Nishino Nanase, Kora Kengo, Yoshino Hokuto, Narita Ryo and other impressive co-stars appear in the drama. The director of the film is Imaizumi Rikiya. In addition, the screenplay was written by Imaizumi’s wife, Imaizumi Kaori, making it the first time the couple has worked together on a film, and there was a lot of anticipation even before it was released.

Of the seven episodes, episodes one to five are currently a huge hit. “It’s so captivating. It’s a very realistic and thought-provoking drama,” “Mizuki Takahata’s acting brought me to tears at times,” “I can’t wait to see the next part!” and “It’s so interesting! I’m really curious to see what happens next,” are just some of the many positive comments that have been spreading across social media.

The special trailer released this time begins with a lovely but casual conversation at the dinner table, in which Ichiko, played by Mitsuki Takahata, casually mentions to her husband, Niya, played by Masaki Okada, “I really like Otoya’s face,” revealing her husband’s favorite thing about him. Niya responds by asking, “Really? In what way?”. A flashback to when the two first met is shown, accompanied by Niya’s narration, “I like how Ichiko is easygoing, frank, and strong, and how she finds many things interesting about her.” We also see Ichiko musing that the third Thursday of every month is the night her husband meets with his girlfriend, which makes us wonder if there might be a crack in their friendship.

Not only is the relationship between Kazuko and Niya a married couple, but also the relationship between Niya’s girlfriend, Mizuki, and her husband, Shiro, is shown. When Shiro says, “Mizuki is in charge of childcare. She’s a good mother,” as if pushing all the childcare responsibilities onto Mitsuki, Mitsuki responds with a serious look, “We have to change. You and me too.” As the story progresses, the choices made by both couples will become more and more interesting.

From viewers who have watched the dramas that have been distributed so far,

“What does it mean to think about someone else?”
“It’s normal for couples to go through periods like this where they feel unfulfilled, but how do they get through it, or if they can get through it at all?”
“You can’t really understand the circumstances of each family until you get inside. It’s a very emotional experience.”
“It was like a constant, tingly pain that had always been inside me and was slowly emerging. I got really immersed in it. Nobody is perfect. And it’s not just someone else’s problem.”
“I can’t cry about love, but I do cry about affection. Even when things are going well, there is always something missing, and you will get a riposte to your own feelings, the other person’s feelings, and any careless use of language. I feel like there has finally been a work that is sincere about repairing and rebuilding.”

Many people have posted comments and opinions on social media, such as, “I’m so happy I got to see this story!” Not only does it focus on the relationship between Kazuko and Niya, but it also gives a glimpse into the backgrounds of the people connected to them, and many people are drawn to the characters and becoming completely absorbed in the story.

Kazuko and Niya have been living a peaceful life without any fights up until now, but now they are facing their first big crisis as a married couple. The couple is thrown into chaos when they openly admit their affair because they didn’t talk about what they were feeling inside. But what does the future hold for the couple as they overcome this? Keep an eye out for the 7-part story.
