Reira Shio is a singer-songwriter who writes songs about “someone who might be somewhere in this world.” “Sentimental Kiss”, which was used as the BGM in the love program “He and Ookami-chan ni Never Be Fooled”, which was broadcast on ABEMA from February 2022, has gained widespread sympathy through word of mouth and SNS, especially among people in their teens to 20s. The MV has been played a total of 15.62 million times (including the lyric video, as of April 24th), the song has been used more than 6,000 times on SNS, and it has charted on various music distribution services. It was a huge hit, reaching number one on the viral charts.

In August, they made their major debut from Sony Music Labels. The new song “Memo Rock” released this time is a song about “a bandman who can only write songs about his girlfriend.” The main character, a band member, looks back on his life with his girlfriend, whom he will never be able to meet again, and the words they exchanged, and weaves together her words as if he were creating a memorandum for her.

The music video was directed by Ao Inoue, who has also worked on works such as Tele and Shin-Tokyo, and features model/actor Leo Yamaguchi, who plays the main character of Memou Rock. Filming took place at a quarry near the Kanto region, and with the theme of “concreteness amidst uncertainty” in human memory, the song’s main character, a bandman, looks back on the past and depicts the landscape in his mind in a fantastical way.

In addition, Reira Shio’s self-planned live show “Ushiomaeromae vol.5” is scheduled to be held in Tohsaka. The Tokyo performance is already sold out, and the Osaka performance will be held on June 2nd with Ohashi Chippoke and Re:name.
