Aimyon’s new song “Zarame” has been chosen as the theme song for the drama “Furitsumore Kodoku na Shi yo” (Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV), which starts on July 7th.

The drama is based on the manga of the same name currently being serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket. The show will be broadcast based on the unfinished manga, but will also include original elements.

The story begins with the discovery of the skeletal remains of 13 children in a deserted mansion, commonly known as the Haikawa Mansion Incident. Detective Saeki Jin (Narita Ryo) is investigating the truth behind the incident, along with a mysterious woman, Rensui Kanon (Yoshikawa Ai), who claims to have once lived in the mansion. She calls the mansion’s owner and suspect in the case, Haikawa Juzo (Kohinata Fumiyo), her “father” and insists that “Haikawa is not the culprit.” Who on earth took the children’s lives, and why? And what is the relationship between Haikawa and the children?

Seven years have passed since the mysterious Haikawa House incident. The disappearance of a young girl triggers the reappearance of a mysterious mark left at the scene of the Haikawa House incident. The truth behind the two incidents, past and present, is unraveled with shocking developments in each episode.

■”Zarame” is Aimyon’s first theme song for a suspense drama!
Aimyon’s “Zarame” has been chosen as the theme song for “Furitsumore Kodoku na Shi yo” and is Aimyon’s first theme song for a suspense drama. It was written specifically for this work and will be included in her 5th album “Neko ni Jealousy” to be released on September 11th.

The film begins with the shocking incident of the discovery of the skeletal remains of 13 children, but the key to the case lies with the characters who were traumatized as children. “Zarame” is an impressive song with a warm voice and pure melody line that seems to empathize with their pain.

■A promotional video using parts of “Zarame” has been released!
A promotional video using parts of “Zarame” was released on June 28th. Using footage from the film, the film is mysterious yet conveys the love and heartache that underpins the story.

■The program’s key visual has also been released!
Using the mysterious hexagonal mark left at the scene of the Haikawa Mansion murder as a motif, the mysterious visuals depict the multifaceted expressions of Saeki Jin played by Narita Ryo, Rensui Kanon played by Yoshikawa Ai, and Haikawa Juzo played by Kohinata Fumiyo. The visuals also show a palm with a mysterious hexagonal mark engraved on it… What on earth does this mark mean? And who does this palm belong to…?

■Aimyon Comment
This is my first time working on a suspense drama, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the song will play out in the story. I hope that in my own way, I can provide a little bit of hope at the end.
