Highly praised the theme song and ending theme song for the drama “Until I Destroy My Husband’s Family” sung by Marika Matsumoto, Zakinosuke and SARM

■ “With these two songs, it’s clear that this work is no ordinary piece.” (Marika Matsumoto)

TV Tokyo’s Drama Premiere 23 “Until I Destroy My Husband’s Family,” starring Marika Matsumoto, will begin airing on July 8. It has been announced that Zakinosuke will be in charge of the theme song for the drama, and SARM will be in charge of the ending theme.

The original work of the drama “Until I Destroy My Husband’s Family” is a full-color digital manga of the same name that was ranked #1 overall on LINE Manga as soon as it was released. This is a drama series adaptation of a revenge manga that is too muddy, with shocking developments from the beginning of the story.

Matsumoto Marika plays the role of Kisaragi Minori, a betrayed wife who brings down the hammer on her husband’s years of infidelity. Takezai Terunosuke plays Kisaragi Yudai, Minori’s husband with whom she has had an affair for 15 years, Nonami Maho plays Miyake Riko, a single mother who wants Minori and Yudai to divorce, and Nomura Kota plays Miyake Wataru, Riko’s son, a high school student who develops feelings for Minori, in a love-hate love square.

Additionally, the supporting cast is rounded out with talented actors such as Aso Yumi, Ota Rina, Tanaka Miku, Ota Masahiro, and Nakajima Momoko (Dow 90,000).

The main visual has also been released, depicting Minori Kisaragi, played by Marika Matsumoto, crying with a determined look on her face as she crushes a vibrant flower. The visual expresses Minori’s strong will and desire for revenge, further building expectations for the drama.

■The theme song and ending theme are deeply connected to the world of the drama!
The theme song will be “Down Under” by Zakinosuke, an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who is garnering attention. This song expresses the crazy love between a man and woman in conflict, leaving a deep impression on the story of revenge and vividly expressing the intersection of love and hate between the characters.

The ending theme is “I like late-night French toast made with you more than high-end French food” by SARM, which has a unique worldview. This song expresses “a story that imagines that ordinary everyday life was special on the last day of the earth”, recalling the pain of losing everyday happiness and resonating with Minori’s feelings of burning with the flames of revenge.

■ Zakinosuke. Comment
When I first saw this film, I was struck by the “two-sided” nature of things: extraordinary love and the betrayal of that love.
In particular, just as light creates shadow, love can also create dark emotions.
Even though somewhere in my head I knew I had to stay calm, two completely opposing emotions were making me lose my composure.
I wrote this song focusing on this duality, which I’m sure we can all relate to.
I hope you enjoy the world of this song along with the drama.

■SARM Comments
Thank you for choosing us for the ending theme.
What will the protagonist think after achieving his revenge?
Is it a sense of accomplishment from having resentment and anger cleared away…or is it guilt?
I’m looking forward to seeing how the drama and music, which have seemingly contradictory themes, will intertwine and deepen the story.
I hope you will also pay attention to the music while watching the drama.

■Comment from Marika Matsumoto
I am in awe of the extraordinary talent that is bursting forth.
Zakinosuke.
SARM
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for providing the music for this work and the high-level worldview it offers. With these two songs, it is clear that this work is no ordinary piece. There is no doubt that this work will be overwhelmingly blessed with music.
However, the images we are shooting now may not be ordinary. How will the music, the work, and the role be deeply connected and where will they lead? An exciting and unknown challenge is about to begin.
Only those who know the darkness can find pure light. This work by these two artists made me believe that.
If you want to find peace and happiness, why not just let yourself be consumed by this unrest and cling to it until you fall into the depths of hell?
And let’s take a look at the beautiful world that may lie beyond the endless entanglements.
In my last summer in my 30s, I decided to immerse myself in their music, deepen my love and dance.
