Ae! group, Kumi Koda, Shytop, and Little Glee Monster will appear on the first episode of Yomiuri TV's new music program "Otodoraku √"

■The hosts for the first broadcast will be a lively lineup including Nishikawa Takanori, Yokota Shinnosuke, Elf, Higuchi Taiki, and Sato Kana!

Yomiuri TV’s new music program “Otodoraku √” will begin airing late at night on July 5th. The artists who will be appearing for the first time have now been announced. (The first broadcast will be a one-hour special from 12:50am to 1:50am.)

Ae! group will perform “Ae! LAND”, the coupling song of their debut single, on TV for the first time. Kumi Koda will perform Pink Lady’s “UFO”, which she covered in her latest album. Shytop will perform their major debut single “Hikariau” on TV for the first time. Little Glee Monster will perform “ORIGAMI”, which has been decided as the ending theme of the popular anime.

In addition to singing, the first half will feature Ae! group and Shytop, and the second half will feature Koda Kumi and Little Glee Monster, who will engage in various music-related conversations with Otodoraku HOST = Nishikawa Takanori, Yokota Shinnosuke (Kyuso Nekokami), Elf (Arakawa & Haru), Higuchi Taiki (FM802 DJ), and Sato Kana (ytv announcer).

Furthermore, two groups who will debut in 2024, Ae! group and Shytop, will be taking on the challenge of practicing their reactions and comments, assuming that they will one day win a music award. Even the variety veterans, Ae! group, will be defeated!

And Kumi Koda and Little Glee Monster, who have covered many famous songs, participated in the “Whose cover is this song?” project, where participants had to guess who was singing the covers of various famous songs. The showdown between the HOST team and the artist team was a heated battle with neither team giving in!

I had a lot of fun planning this with everyone, including (Nishikawa) Takanori-kun (the other members even said “Don’t call me Takanori-kun”), and I was also happy to sing “Ae! LAND” on TV for the first time, as it was a song I wanted everyone to hear someday. I hope a lot of people will listen to it.

Someday I’d like to make a pilgrimage to the holy sites of artists from Kansai on “Oto Doraku √”.
Like the place where we were born and raised, or the place where we first encountered music. I think that by being there together, we can widen our circle of music.
■Kumi Koda
As Nishikawa is an artist and the host, he was able to bring out the musical aspects of the show well, and since he is from the Kansai region, he was very welcoming and welcoming, making it hard to believe it was his first time on the show, and I enjoyed the natural atmosphere.

Everyone’s talk was amazing, and after the recording I had a terrible headache thinking about how I should have responded (laughs).
I’m really not good at things like Ogiri, so I need to study.

The three of us went to university in Kyoto and met there, so we have recommendations for spots in Kyoto. For example, I have a favorite soba restaurant, so in the future I’d like to try doing a location shoot where we can introduce such restaurants to each other.

I was very happy to be able to perform our latest song on this memorable first broadcast, and the talk recording was also really exciting and fun.
◇MAYU
I was also happy to be invited to a music program in my hometown of Osaka for the first broadcast, and I was really happy to have the opportunity to speak with Kumi Koda, who I’ve always admired. It gave me even more reasons to keep working hard, and made me want to keep singing, so I think it was a fun and valuable experience.
