YOASOBI will release their new song “UNDEAD”, the theme song for the anime “Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season”, digitally on July 1st. The cover photo has also been released.
“UNDEAD” is based on the original novel written by Nishio Isin, the creator of the “Monogatari” series. The song is typical of YOASOBI, with ikura’s ever-changing vocals bouncing around on top of the dizzying sound that is Ayase’s signature.
The Monogatari series has enthusiastic fans not only in Japan but also overseas, and has produced anthems such as “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari” and “Renai Circulation” in music. This song will mark a new page in the series. Details of the current novel will be announced on June 30th.
The anime “Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season” will be streamed on ABEMA every Saturday at 10pm starting July 6th.

The “Monogatari” series has such a strong attachment to him that when asked about his favorite anime series, he always answers “Bakemonogatari.”
When I found out that I would be in charge of the music for the latest work, I was so happy and excited. I put my heart and soul into creating it, filled with love for the work and each of the characters that appear in it. I hope you all enjoy it.◇ikura
