Terakado Jimon to appear in drama “Aoshima-kun is mean” starring Watanabe Shota and Nakamura Anne! “It’s a role I’m quite familiar with.”

■A live-action manga in which Watanabe Shota and Nakamura Anne recreate famous scenes from the comic is now available on official SNS!

Terakado Jimon (Dachou Club) has been confirmed to appear in the new drama “Aoshima-kun is Mean,” which will start airing on TV Asahi’s Oshidora Saturday slot on July 6th and co-star Watanabe Shota (Snow Man) and Nakamura Anne.

This work is the first film adaptation of the popular comic “Aoshima-kun wa Ijiwaru” (Yoshii Yuu / Mecha Comic Original), which was ranked first in the 2020 “Mecha Comic” annual ranking and has exceeded 130 million cumulative views (as of June 2024, cumulative downloads within the Mecha Comic service including free downloads). It stars Snow Man’s Watanabe Shota and Nakamura Anne in the lead roles. It depicts the “contract love” that begins with a small lie between Aoshima Mizuki (Watanabe), a younger, fasting boy who has no interest in love, and Katsuragi Yukino (Nakamura), a 35-year-old dried fish girl who has given up on love.

This time, Jimon plays the owner of the izakaya that Yukino frequents. After work, Yukino is enjoying a drink alone with her favorite pork trotters when she gets a call from her friend Asako, who reminds her that she promised to attend her friend’s wedding with her boyfriend. Since breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, Yukino has put an end to her search for a husband and has been completely away from romance, so she is at a loss when faced with this big crisis… When she looks next to her, she sees Aoshima, a young employee at the same company. Yukino asks Aoshima, with whom she has never even had a proper conversation, to be her “boyfriend for one day,” impulsively and without much hope of success. To her surprise, he readily agrees! The izakaya run by the owner is the place where Aoshima and Yukino’s “contract love” is established.

Jimon, who is confident in his role as the head chef, said, “I used to work part-time at an izakaya, so this is a role I’m quite familiar with,” will be the witness to the romance that Aoshima and Yukino start!? Jimon said with a laugh, “This is my first time acting properly with Watanabe-san and Nakamura-san, so I’ll try my best to not be annoying as much as possible!” He also appealed, “It’s a fascinating work, so please enjoy it with excitement every week.” Will he continue to watch over the love between the two at the izakaya where their memorable “contract love” was established? Unlike variety shows, I feel like I’m participating in a drama, so it gets me really excited! This time, I’m playing the owner of an izakaya, a place I often worked part-time at, so it’s a role I’m quite familiar with.
This is my first time acting alongside the stars Watanabe and Nakamura, so I’ll try my best to avoid being annoying as much as possible! It’s a fascinating series, so I hope you’ll enjoy it with excitement every week.
