On the 6th, Hideaki Tokunaga held the first concert of his “Hideaki Tokunaga Concert Tour 2024 ALL BEST 3” at J:COM Hall Hachioji (Hachioji City, Tokyo), where he announced to his fans his label transfer and the release of a live album, and expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’ll do my best towards my 40th anniversary of my debut (in 2026)!”

The tour, named “ALL BEST,” was the name given to Tokunaga when he resumed concerts in 2022 after suspending his concert activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the name suggests, the set list is a best selection of songs, including many of his biggest hits. The following year, in 2023, he held a nationwide hall tour called “ALL BEST 2,” and this year in 2024 marks the third consecutive year that the tour will be held.

The concert that day was mainly composed of singles such as his debut song “Rainy Blue” and the big hit “Kowarekake no Radio”, and the set list that traced Tokunaga Hideaki’s trajectory from his debut thrilled the packed audience. In addition, in the MC after performing “Ii Hi Tabidachi”, which is included in the cover album series “VOCALIST” and was written and composed by Shinji Tanimura who passed away last October, he said, “I have so many memories with Tanimura that I can’t even begin to talk about them all. I wonder if he is watching from heaven?”, remembering his senior who was a close friend both in public and private.

As befitting the tour title, the concert’s heat is recorded to the fullest with a wonderful set list including original hits and the “VOCALIST” series, and the first limited edition comes with a live Blu-ray containing all the songs from the same performance. It is a live album filled with “best” songs that show Hideaki Tokunaga’s enthusiasm for singing. In addition, the official YouTube channel has started to release the full version of Tokunaga’s representative song “Kowarekake no Radio”, which will be included on the Blu-ray included with the first limited edition. [Profile]

Real name: Hideaki Tokunaga

*’Toku’ is written in old style and ‘Ei’ has a space between the grass radicals.

Date of birth: February 27, 1961

Birthplace: Born in Yanagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture/Itami, Hyogo Prefecture (middle and high school years)

Blood type: A

She debuted on January 21, 1986 with the single “Rainy Blue” and the album “Girl”. Her fourth single, “Hikagara nagara…”, released in 1987, became a huge hit.

After that, he released a series of hits, including “Kaze no Eolia,” “Saigo no Iiwake,” “Yume wo Shinjite,” and “Kokowarekake no Radio.” He also appeared in TV dramas and movies.

In 2005, the album “VOCALIST” was produced with the concept of “covering famous songs by female artists” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut. Tokunaga was committed to her role as a vocalist, and while confirming the wonderfulness of the words, she spun her sad, gentle, and delicate singing voice into a work full of charm, which became a long-running hit. She opened up a new path to follow.

Thus, “VOCALIST” became a popular series, with six titles in total by 2015, creating an original brand that changed the positioning of the “cover album.”

To date, they have released 54 singles and 18 original albums, and have also been actively performing concert tours.
