Kitri has been selected to perform the ending theme song for the TV anime “Gimai Seikatsu,” which is scheduled to begin airing on Thursday, July 4. The ending theme song is titled “Aquarium Swing,” and was written by Kitri in accordance with the original work.
The TV anime “Gimai Seikatsu” is based on a light novel by Mikawa Gosuto, which has sold over 600,000 copies in total.
Yuuta and Saki have a cold view of family due to their parents’ divorce, but when their parents remarry, they end up living under the same roof as step-siblings of the same age. This is a daily drama in which the relationship between them gradually deepens as they live together.
“Aquarium Swing” will be released digitally on Wednesday, July 10th.
[Kitri’s comment]
I am very honored to be in charge of the ending theme song for “Gimai Seikatsu.”
Becoming a family can sometimes bring a sense of security, but at other times it can create invisible walls.
I wrote “The Aquarium Swing” with the desire to peer into the relationship and feelings of these two people, whose lives continue to change like waves, and to gently observe the direction they are heading in.
In a world where things are often black and white, “Gimai Seikatsu” is packed with things that cannot be easily summed up in one word. I hope that this song, which is still colorless, will be colored in your own way through the story.
