Pop Shinanai’s song “Yankee Love” has been chosen as the ending theme for “SHIBUYA ANIME BASE” #Shibuani (pronounced: Shibuani).

It will be aired from the broadcast on Friday, July 5th.

In Popshinanai, they say, “Without anime, games and manga, we wouldn’t be doing music.
We are so influenced by anime culture that we can say this with confidence, so we’re very happy to be a part of ShibuyaAni! And please let us come and join the show!”

Pop Shinanai will also be hosting their own event, “CITY OF POP,” at Shibuya Milkyway in Tokyo on August 8. This will be the first time the event will be held, and Necry Talkie will be making a guest appearance.

General ticket sales will begin on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 10:00.

Formed in 2015, this world-based POP band is composed of vocalist and keyboardist Kamegai Ayako and drummer Kawamura, and sings of impermanence with a light touch. Kawamura’s lyrics are somewhat lonely but positive, and Kamegai’s expressive and distinctive vocals give the band a minimalist yet complete musicality that is not limited by the lineup. The band’s music videos are based on their unique musical philosophy, and their live performances, which recreate their worldview with their strong expressiveness, have been a hot topic. They made their major debut with their second full album released on February 22, 2023 under Nippon Columbia. Starting in March, they will hold the “Pop Shinanaide Presents “The Password is Excitement” Tour”, which will visit six cities nationwide. The final show at Ebisu Liquid Room was SOLD OUT.
