Enka singer Saisei (21) debuted at the tender age of 16 on June 26, 2019 as a disciple of Takashi Hosokawa. This year marks his fifth anniversary since his debut. He is also actively involved in projects such as “Enka 7th Generation” and “Hosokawa Ichimon”, and successfully held a 5th anniversary concert at Toyopet Smile Hall Oarai on February 25th. And now, on Wednesday, June 26th, his 5th anniversary, he will be releasing his 6th single “Farewell Sakurajima”. This song is a full-fledged enka song that sings of a man’s feelings for a new life, with lyrics by Shinichi Ishihara and music by Tetsuya Gen. It is a dramatic song that evokes the majestic nature of Sakurajima.
The coupling song is “First Step,” the first J-POP song to be aired since April as the new theme song for BS TV Tokyo’s “THE Prestigious School.” Sung under the name “Ryusei,” this song is a light-hearted support song about overcoming difficulties together with friends and taking the next step.
And now, a new visual for “Saraba Sakurajima” has been released. The impressive jacket features Saisei in a navy blue hakama, with his dreams in his heart and his determination looking up to the future, with the majestic scenery of Sakurajima in the background.
