Gunma Prefecture's mascot and PR director "Gunma-chan" holds a concert by the Gunma-chan Theatre Company.

Gunma-chan will begin airing as an anime TV series in October 2021.

In February 2023, he launched the YouTube channel “Gekidan Gunma-chan” and began distributing videos mainly featuring music for children.

In February 2021, they released the original dance song “∞Tighten the Ribbon∞”, in September 2023 the original play song “Guu! Guu! Gunma-chan”, and in December of the same year, “Minna no Gunma CHANCE!”, and are focusing on content for children.

On this day, two performances were held at Gunma Kaikan, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a total of about 700 people attending.

Appearances included Gunma-chan, Gunma-chan’s friends who appear in the anime series, Aoma and Miimi, Deguchi Takashi, a childcare artist who created Gunma-chan’s music and choreography, Nakano Miyu, who also appears on the YouTube channel Gekidan Gunma-chan, and Juju, a member of the Gunma-based idol group Akagi-dan, who sang the song Minna no Gunma CHANCE!, which was released in December last year.

The concept of this concert is Gunma-chan’s Summer Festival.

On stage, eight songs were performed in each of the morning and afternoon sessions, including Gunma-chan’s original songs “Guu! Guu! Gunma-chan” and “∞ Ribbon Tightly ∞”, as well as “SWITCH!,” the theme song for the anime Gunma-chan.

The Bon Odori song “Ototto Ondo,” written and composed by performer Deguchi Takashi, and Gunma-chan’s dance song “Minna no Gunma CHANCE!” were performed by 10 Gunma-chan Kids Dancers who live in Gunma Prefecture, who joined in and performed the dance together with the fans in attendance, bringing the excitement in the venue to a climax.

Continuing from the previous concert, the stage was one where attendees could participate while watching the video, touring a haunted house together while watching the video on stage, blowing away ghosts that appeared with Gunma-chan and others using fans distributed at the entrance, and even playing shooting games with Gunma-chan.

After the show, there was also a high-five session with Gunma-chan and Gunma-chan’s limited edition goods were sold, bringing the event to a close with great success.
