This year marks the 25th anniversary of Hikawa Kiyoshi’s debut.
We are currently in the middle of rehearsals for the “KIYOSHI HIKAWA + KIINA. 25th Anniversary Concert Tour ~KIIZNA~” which starts on Friday, August 16th.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, July 23rd, we held a song poll for the album “Hikawa Kiyoshi Request Best” which will be released on Wednesday, September 4th. Fans voted on the website for three songs by Hikawa Kiyoshi, and the album will be released from those songs. The songs included were all A-side songs from singles, coupling songs and bonus tracks from singles, and all 174 digital singles.
And now, the results of the vote and the contents of “Hikawa Kiyoshi Request Best,” which will be released on Wednesday, September 4th, have finally been revealed.
At the time of the interim announcement on Wednesday, July 10th, the rankings of “Castle of White Clouds”, which was in 1st place, and “Limit Break x Survivor”, which was in 2nd place, were reversed. 1st place was “Limit Break x Survivor”, 2nd place was “Castle of White Clouds”, and 3rd place was “Kiyoshi’s Zundoko Bushi”.
In addition, the contents of “Hikawa Kiyoshi Request Best” are based on this ranking, and are made up of songs selected from the TOP 10 and TOP 30, resulting in a variety of content that is “quintessential Hikawa Kiyoshi.”
The new visuals for the album were also released. The main visual for the previously released “Kiyoshi Hikawa 25th Anniversary Theater Concert Tour -Kizuna-” features Hikawa in a kimono, and the jacket image shows him sitting upright and looking straight ahead. Another dynamic image with his hair blowing in the wind was also released at the same time.
The release date, Wednesday September 4th, is the day the Osaka performance of the concert tour will be held at the Festival Hall, making it a CD that can be enjoyed in conjunction with the concert tour and theater concert tour.
