Turning 80 this year, he is aiming for an unprecedented 65th anniversary nationwide tour, and is set to hold the “Funaki Kazuo Exhibition 2024 79-80” ~youth together~ Youth together…!!!

Kazuo Funaki (79) made his brilliant debut on June 5, 1963 with the single “Koukou Sannensei” and became a worldwide sensation.

He is currently in his 62nd year in show business, and is halfway through his 50-show tour, which began on Friday, February 2nd at Omiya Sonic City. He is putting on a passionate performance that doesn’t make you forget that he will be turning 80 on Thursday, December 12th this year.

Meanwhile, it has been decided that a special exhibition tracing Kazuo Funaki’s career in the entertainment industry, “Kazuo Funaki Exhibition 2024 79-80,” will be held.

This is a special exhibition that is a remake and reorganization of the “Funamura Toru Memorial Museum” (Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture) held in 2021, which introduces the life and works of composer Funamura Toru.

To mark the occasion of Kazuo Funaki turning 80, the exhibition will focus on the discography of his works released since his debut, allowing fans who have traveled with him along the way to enjoy the charm of Kazuo Funaki, who continues to sing powerfully even today.

Inside the venue, there will be an exhibition of stage costumes, a corner where you can take photos with a life-size panel of Funaki, and an opportunity to write a message to Funaki, and original goods that can only be obtained at the exhibition will also be on sale.

The venue is easily accessible so that you can visit before or after the performance of “Kazuo Funaki Concert in Misonoza 2024”. Special postcards will also be given away as a commemorative gift. We hope that many people will stop by.
