Shinanaiide, a pop band with vocalist and keyboardist Kamegai Ayako and drummer Kawamura that claims to “lightly sing about impermanence” and is known for its literary lyrics and rich musicality, will release a digital mini-album “August Gunshots” today, Wednesday, September 4th, and have also announced that the Music Video for the lead track “Steam Steam Adrenaline Junkies” will premiere on YouTube at 8pm on Saturday, September 7th.
The work, which is based on the theme of summer memories, is a mini-album woven together with tales of August filled with meetings and partings, prayers and curses. It is a work that allows you to fully enjoy Pop Shinanaide’s pop music, which is filled with a slightly unorthodox literary quality, poison and cuteness.
The music video for “Steam Steam Adrenaline Junkies,” which will be released on Wednesday, September 7th, was produced by Izumi Kanae, who is a close friend of Pop Shinanaide and has been in charge of many music videos in the past. The video features a catchy song with a dizzying sound, and depicts a girl whose heart has been stolen and her heart running around a decadent city. You can enjoy Izumi Kanae’s pop characters and steampunk atmosphere in this animation.
In addition, ahead of the music video premiere at 8pm on Saturday, September 7th, a live YouTube broadcast will be held at 7pm on the same day. The theme is “Pop Shinanai’s Summer Vacation Review Meeting.” Please look forward to it.

To coincide with the release of their mini-album, Pop Shinanai will be holding a three-performance national solo tour called “24 Hour Yankee People.” The tour will kick off on Monday, October 14th (national holiday) at Shangri-la in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, and will be held at three venues in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

Formed in 2015, the band features vocalist and keyboardist Kamegai Ayako and drummer Kawamura in a light-hearted pop band that sings about the impermanence of things.
Kawamura’s lyrics are somewhat lonely but positive, and Kamegai’s expressive and distinctive vocals make for a minimalist yet complete musical composition. The music video is based on their unique musical philosophy, and their live performances, which recreate the band’s worldview with their strong expressiveness, are a hot topic.
They will release their second major full album “DOKI” in February 2024. Their first national solo tour “Kodo wo Kikasete” ended with a sold-out final performance at LIQUIDROOM in Ebisu, Tokyo.
