To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Fujiko F. Fujio, the contents of a 12-set CD box set containing theme songs, insert songs, and image songs from TV shows, movies, dramas, etc. originating from Fujiko F. Fujio’s works have been decided.

A total of 255 songs are gathered together, from “Doraemon” to “Perman,” “Kiteretsu Encyclopedia,” “Esper Mami,” “Obake no Q-taro,” “21 Emon,” “Mojya-ko,” “Chimpui,” “Pokonyan,” “T.P. Bon,” “Ume-boshi Denka,” “Jungle Kurobee,” “Bakeru-kun,” “Fujiko F. Fujio SF Short Stories,” anniversary songs, and the theme song for “Fujiko Fujio Wide”!

In addition, during the production of this project, the master tape of the elusive song “Ume Seikuni no Uta,” a song that had been released on a phono record as an appendix to Shogakukan’s school year magazine but never released on CD, was unearthed by Nippon Columbia and will be released on CD for the first time.

His real name is Hiroshi Fujimoto.

Born on December 1, 1933 in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.

He made his debut as a manga artist in 1951 with “Angel Tama-chan.”

In 1954, he moved to Tokyo with his elementary school classmate Abiko Motoo and began working full-time as “Fujiko Fujio.”

The duo disbanded in 1987, and he continued his writing career under the name “Fujiko F. Fujio,” mainly focusing on “Doraemon the Movie,” ushering in a new era of children’s manga.

His major works include “Obake no Q-taro” (co-authored), “Doraemon”, “Perman”, “Kiteretsu Encyclopedia”, and the “SF Short Stories” series.

He passed away on September 23, 1996 at the age of 62.

His representative work, “Doraemon,” has been translated* into 20 regions and 17 languages, and is still read by children all over the world.
