The acoustic video of singer-songwriter Aki’s first single “Himitsu no”, which is used as the CM song for “Amazon Prime Ad: Urban Jungle”, has been released on YouTube. The video was filmed at Amazon Music Studio Tokyo, and it directly conveys Aki’s guitar playing and unique singing voice. Acoustic videos of the second single “Ameme” and the third single “Michiwataru” will also be released at a later date.
The viral hit “Himitsu no” topped the Shazam Top 200 Japan chart for 11 consecutive days, and also topped the Spotify Viral Top 50 Japan chart (as of September 14th). The number of word-of-mouth reviews has exceeded 1,000 in just a few weeks, and the momentum is still going strong.
Aki’s first-ever interview is now available on Rolling Stone Japan. In his own words, he talks about his musical experiences as a student and his thoughts on the songs he has released so far. This interview is a condensed version of Aki’s current state.
“Himitsu no” is a song that tells you that you don’t have to try hard to deal with your everyday worries and conflicts, that it’s okay to give up, and that it’s okay to accept your “secrets.” The music video for the song is also available on YouTube, and Aki himself is also in charge of creative direction, so please take a look.
