Space Battleship Yamato, whose first episode was broadcast on October 6, 1974, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The album “Symphonic Suite Space Battleship Yamato” was released by Nippon Columbia on December 25, 1977 after the work became a huge hit and could be considered a social phenomenon. Mr. Yasushi Miyagawa, who was in charge of the musical accompaniment, rearranged and re-edited the BGM, added new songs, and re-recorded it with a full orchestra.It recorded amazing sales at the time and became a monumental anime soundtrack.
This work is a 50th anniversary work and is a remix of newly tracked digital material from the original multi-tape (16 channels). The lineup includes CDs, LPs, regular distribution, high-resolution distribution, and spatial audio.
The mixer is Mr. Toshiyasu Shiozawa, winner of numerous Japan Professional Music Awards, the LP cutting engineer is Mr. Shigeru Takezawa, and the CD mastering is Yumiko Yamashita, who is the mastering engineer for the “YAMATO SOUND ALMANAC” series and “Space Battleship Yamato 2202” music products. Additionally, an analog version of “Symphonic Suite Space Battleship Yamato 2202” by Akira Miyagawa, whose LP cutting was done by Shigeru Takezawa, will also be released at the same time from Bandai Namco Music Live.
