Commemorating the release of “CAFE de FUJIKO・F・FUJIO MUSEUM”! A special live performance of Fujiko F. Fujio’s masterpieces at the jazz club COTTON CLUB in Marunouchi, Tokyo!


In February 2024, to commemorate the release of the CD “Fujiko F. Fujio 90th Anniversary CAFE de FUJIKO F. FUJIO MUSEUM”, which was released in conjunction with the 90th anniversary of Fujiko F. Fujio’s birth, a CD will be held in Marunouchi, Tokyo. A special live show will be held at a jazz club COTTON CLUB!

This album is a CD of original BGM created for the museum cafe inside the Kawasaki City Fujiko F. Fujio Museum.

Pianist Ryotaro Imai composed anime songs by Fujiko F. Fujio, such as “Dream Come True Doraemon” and “Boku Doraemon” from “Doraemon” and “Suimin Shisaku” and “Hajimete no Chu” from “Kiteretsu Encyclopedia.” Arranged to bossy cafe music.

In this special live, the members who played the songs on the CD will reunite, led by Imai.

The performance consists of a bossa quartet consisting mainly of piano, guitar, bass, and drums, with the addition of flute, marimba, and percussion.

The first show is a program that can be enjoyed by the whole family, from children to adults, under the subtitle .

Ryotaro Imai:

A pianist who made his major debut in 2013 and continues to lead the Brazilian music scene in Japan with his unique style that combines the traditional playing techniques he learned in Rio de Janeiro with the bright and free atmosphere of his hometown of Shonan. He has released eight original albums and two best-of albums from Nippon Columbia, has been responsible for numerous works as a music producer, and has worked on pop songs and even school songs as a composer.His activities are wide-ranging. He is also known as a big fan of Fujiko F. Fujio’s works.

RYOTARO IMAI GROUP:
The flute player is Takako Mitsushima, who is active across genres from Brazilian music to pop, classical, and jazz, and has also worked on music for musicals and commercials, dramas, and movies. The marimba will be played by Megumi Kamei, a bossa nova marimba player based in Hokuriku who continues to convey the charm and possibilities of marimba like never before. The guitarist is Takehiko Sotozono, who is attracting attention as a young man who plays authentic Brazilian grooves. The bassist is Kiichiro Komobuchi, who has performed with many artists such as Sadao Watanabe, Machiko Watanabe, Koji Tamaki, and Lisa Ono, and is active on concert tours and recordings around the world.In addition, with the top drummer in the Brazilian music world in Japan.
Kiyotaka Kuroda is an up-and-coming artist who has traveled to Brazil seven times from 2017 to the present to participate in Rio’s Samba Carnival, and has participated in numerous groups in Japan. Percussionist Emeri Koyanagi will participate. A must-listen to the performances by these powerful members!
