Yu Shirota, who is expanding his range of activities as both an actor and an artist, has released his new song digitally today!

Shirota and pianist/musical director Takana Miyamoto, who hit it off, co-produced this song, and this song was born as a wonderful song to support dreams.
This song was performed for the first time with an orchestra at last year’s revamped performance, with Yu Shirota taking on the dual roles of director and main performer, and it became a big hit. It was released today ahead of the December performance, which marks the fifth year of the series.

In addition, the jacket photo is a collaboration with artist Shingo Nagasaka, who creates works using waste from developed countries and uses the proceeds from the sales to transform Ghana’s Agbogblosi slum into a sustainable town. Shirota, who was impressed by Nagasaka’s “Superstars” series project, which introduces and sells works drawn by people who want to become artists in Ghana’s slums, has created “Dream Seeds ~I’ll be by your side.” The jacket features works that were listened to by Ghanaian artists and drawn based on their sensibilities on the theme of “Seeds of Dreams.”

Since making his acting debut in 2003, he has been active in a wide range of genres including dramas, movies, theater, and music.
His major appearances in recent years include “Angel Flight ~International Hearse Repatriator~” (Amazon Prime/NHKBS), the TV drama series “Come Come Everybody” (narrator), and the movie “Confidence Man JP Hero Edition.” He made his debut as a director in 2016 with “Apple Tree.”

Born in 1984. In June 2017, I visited Agbogblosi, a slum in Ghana, and met people who make a living by burning electronic devices thrown away by developed countries. Since then, he has been creating works using waste materials and using the funds generated from the sales to build local recycling plants, as well as developing businesses that do not pollute the environment, such as agriculture and EVs. He advocates “sustainable capitalism,” a new capitalist system in which the three axes of economy, culture, and environment (social contribution) are in a virtuous cycle, and continues to work tirelessly every day to transform slums into sustainable towns. In September 2022, he will hold his first solo museum exhibition at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo. In November of the same year, won the 51st Best Dresser Award in the academic and cultural category. Established “MAGO MOTORS LTD” in Ghana, where 62 Ghanaians are currently working.
