“Machico Live 2024 -Cheer Up!-” Report

“Machico Live 2024 -Cheer Up!-” was held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Toyosu PIT, Tokyo.

This is her first solo live in six months since her triumphant return live in her hometown, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, in May of this year. This time, as the title “Cheer Up!” suggests, they created the set list with the idea of ”cheering for everyone.”

Machico made a dashing appearance wearing a sporty outfit with the same green and yellow colors as the live logo. We were greeted with claps from the audience, and we started with “Declaration of Eternal Ally,” for which a preview video was also posted a few days ago! He then performed “Happy Magic,” encouraging the audience to “please let me hear a lot of claps!”

After a short MC, he said, “Everyone, are you ready to be ecstatic!?” and dropped a new song “Uchoten” with a towel in hand. He continued with the upper song, “To Sonosaki.”

He sang “Korekara” while pointing at the audience, and then began his MC. A special camera was installed for this performance, and a portion of the live performance can be enjoyed as a “VR video” at a later date. “Look forward to seeing which song will be chosen!” he said with a smile.

From here, it’s the “kawaii zone”. She sings “Guru Guru Continue” under the glow of a pink penlight, then “Kitto Chocolat” as she spins around, then “Suki-Hai New Beat” in a cute cat pose, and finally, with a sharp dance, “ She sang “Pink Tourmaline”.

Before entering the zone, Machico asked the audience, “Please maintain your self until the end,” with a mischievous smile on his face. I was worried that my thoughts were stopping because of how cute it was (lol), but I said, “I’ve been singing so far all at once, and everyone who’s been following me, aren’t you getting hungry?” Talk to your fans.

Machico was impressed by the deliciousness of the popular spaghetti chain’s “Spaghetti Pancho” (commonly known as “Pancho”) when he ate it backstage at the “Growing Up” release event in April. After that, he brought up the name of “Pancho” every time he came across and supported him (lol), and apparently he talked directly to King Pancho, the “great man” of “Pancho,” and the collaboration was realized.

So, for the first time, “Pancho the Great Officially Approved/Unofficial Support Song (Pancho the Great Officially Approved)” will be performed! The audience also responded with orange penlights, and the venue was dyed the color of “Pancho.”

Once the venue was filled with excitement, the “Nichiasa Song Medley” excited the audience even more.

“Let’s Go!! Rider Kick ~Exercise Version~” released on Toei’s official YouTube channel “Sentai Rider Kids Channel”, “World Is Mine!” which was the first time Super Sentai participated in a song, and “Cheers! Delicious” Party ♡ PreCure”, “Viva! Spark! Tropical ~ Ju! PreCure”, and “Miracle ♥ Link Ring!” are a parade of numbers that will impress fans of the series. As Machico said, “We aimed for a set that would keep the momentum going,” they performed one hot, heart-pounding song after another.

We succeeded in exciting the hearts of children, and now the final spurt begins! On the bright red stage, he performed the solo version of the insert song “All for one Forever” from “Pretty Cure All Stars F” for the first time, raising his fist and singing, “Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!” ” related songs were sung in quick succession. “Fantastic dreamer” illuminated by a blue penlight, “It’s so fine!” while waving a towel, and jumping up and down during “TOMORROW”, and already the last number of the main series, “Growing Up”. The call-and-response was perfect, and the performance ended with a thumbs-up “good pose.”

Immediately, as the encore sounded, a narration similar to that of a hero show’s older sister (?) suddenly filled the venue. Machico apparently used up all his power in the main story. “With everyone’s support, Machico-chan will come back at full power!” The voice of the older sister immediately sparked a “Machico call.”

Machico appeared in response to the audience’s warm cheers! “When I made an aggressive arrangement, only the torso was left (lol).” Wearing live T-shirt arrangements, she energetically sang “My Favorite Snowball,” which is perfect for the cold season. Furthermore, “Tabino Silbe”, which was distributed in June, was performed for the first time. They ran at full speed during the encore, and at the end, they sang “Million Smile” with the biggest smile on their face.

When I took a commemorative photo with the band members with the audience seats in the background, I was told that they would be holding their first Asian tour in 2025! It is said that the event will be held in Shanghai, Seoul, and Hong Kong, so be sure to check it out.

It’s finally time to finish the stage that has unfolded as if you were running through it. Machico threw a message ball into the audience and shot a video with his smartphone pointing at the audience. At the end, the concert ended with the customary fox pose and the greeting “Sarabada!”.
