THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT will release 4K footage of “WORLD CHICKEN ZOMBIES TOUR/1998.2.1/AKASAKA BLITZ” from 7pm on Saturday, February 1st!

It has been announced that the 4K up-converted video of THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s “WORLD CHICKEN ZOMBIES TOUR/1998.2.1/AKASAKA BLITZ” will be premiered on the official YouTube channel from 7pm on Saturday, February 1st.

The WORLD CHICKEN ZOMBIES TOUR was a tour that started with Chiba LOOK on January 7, 1998, and ended with the Okinawa Human Stage on April 24th, for a total of 53 performances in Japan, and 5 overseas performances in the UK. The video will be the complete version of the live performance at Akasaka BLITZ, which took place on February 1st 27 years ago, during the first half of the tour. This video is included in the “THEE LIVE” Blu-ray BOX that will be released on February 1st, but to commemorate the start of the 30th anniversary project “THEE 30TH”, the video has been upconverted to 4K. It will be premiered. There are no plans for archive distribution, so please enjoy it in real time.

Also, at noon on Saturday, February 1st, a music video of the 4K up-converted version of their major debut song “Sekai no Owari” will be released. After that, 4K MUSIC videos will be released on YouTube every month, so please check them out as well.

“THEE 30TH” was started as a project to commemorate THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s 30th debut anniversary, and under the theme of <96k24b, 180g & 4K>, it is a high resolution 96kHz/24bit newly remastered from the original master tape. Distribution, re-release of analog version in 180g weight version, and MUSIC The VIDEO will be up-converted to 4K quality, and the works left by THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT will be preserved in high quality sound and high image quality. The live video collection “THEE LIVE” (released in 2010) will be released on Blu-ray on February 1st, the 1st album “cult grass stars” (released in 1996) will be released on March 1st, and the 2nd album “Cult Grass Stars” (released in 1996) will be released on April 1st.
