It has been revealed that the “THEE 30TH” project, which was launched to commemorate THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s 30th anniversary, will be reissued of “Chicken Zombies” and “GEAR BLUES” in two discs, 180g heavy-duty recordings, and a remastered sound source and a 96k24b high-resolution sound source will be released.
“THEE 30TH” is a project under the theme of <96k24b, 180g & 4K>, with a newly remastered 96kHz/24bit high-resolution distribution from the original master tape, a re-release of the analog recording on a heavy 180g record, and an up-converted MUSIC VIDEO to 4K image quality, leaving the works left behind by THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT in high sound and high quality.
Chicken Zombies, whose release is now revealed, is the third album released by Nippon Columbia on November 1, 1997, and includes “Get Up Lucy,” “Boogie,” and “Birdmen.”
His fourth album, “GEAR BLUES,” was released on November 25th, 1998, and is a popular work that includes “Smokin Billy” and “GWD.”
Among them, Chicken Zombies is the first two-disc release, and expectations are high for its sound quality and artwork that will be a double jacket.
The analog heavy-duty and distributed releases of “Chicken Zombies” will be released on Sunday, June 1st, and GEAR BLUES will be released on Tuesday, July 1st.
The analog record offers special benefits for each CD shop, with square-shaped can badges being given at Tower Records, smartphone stickers at HMV, keychains at Disc Union, and mega jackets at Amazon being given on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition, an additional press has been decided to hold the 180g heavy-duty 180g version of the “Cult Grass Stars” which had been in short supply due to the rising popularity.

4K upconversion footage of three music videos from “Lily” from their second album “High Time,” “Boogie” and “Get Up Lucy” from their third album “Chicken Zombies” were also released on THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s official YouTube channel. Interesting will be drawn to see which songs 4K MUSIC VIDEO will be released in the future.
In addition, a special offer for purchasers of the analog edition, which will be released one after another, has been announced, starting with “cult grass stars,” which will be released on March 1st.
Each analog record contains a sticker with a serial code, and if you purchase at least three of the nine titles of the original albums released in the future, enter the serial code from the application site to apply, you will be entered into a lottery to receive an analog storage box and a sticker sheet with nine titles of analog jacket designs.
