Singer-songwriter Koresawa held his independent two-man live show “Koresawa LIVE 2025 Date with You Vol. 2” at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. This project, which was held by Koresawa, attracted artists whom she admires, began in December 2023. In the second episode, he performed passionately with rock band Nekrickouky.
When it was scheduled, Koresawa appeared on stage and greeted the audience. Regarding this event, he explained, “I was afraid that I would refuse even if I asked him out, so I kept avoiding playing with him, but this project was born two years ago with the concept of “trying to ask the person I love on a date and asking him out on a date.” Today, Nekrichtky will be going on a date with me!” “Can you all make a comeback from the start? My date is Nekrickokey!” he cried out, and he turned over his handwritten notes and the date began.

Nekrichkey started the live show with “Super cute songs,” and instantly boosts the heat on the floor with its hastily beats and Asahi (Gt) sharp guitar sound. After that, he continues to captivate his colorful ensemble, including “bloom” which led the groove with the strong bass sound played by Fujita (Ba), and “Kita no Recommendation” which was addictive due to its tight texture and catchy melody. During the MC, Mossa (Vo, Gt) laughed embarrassingly, “Thank you for calling me, this guy! I’ve met her for a long time, but she invited me out on my first date…I’m really happy.”

Then, the idyllic number “Not Just Baby” is followed by “That’s what it is?” included in the second EP “Mob’s Kung Fu” to be released on March 26th, and then the comical number “Forgive me! Hattori.” Here again, Koresawa appeared on stage, calling out “Guest vocalist, this is the one!” He likens the lyrics and picks up a “profit” while inciting a call and response. Furthermore, when Asahi stopped the performance, “We Nekrite Towne have been training on a lot, so no matter when and who says 1, 2, 3, 4, we can start playing properly (from a break). Koresawa-san said at a random timing, and it’s okay to say 1, 2, 3, 4,” Koresawa repeatedly said, “Asahi-kun, I’ll give you money back…1, 2, 3, 4!”, and counted repeatedly while adding feints. The venue was fully livened up and left like a storm.

Mossa shares her commonalities by saying, “It’s different to Kore-chan singing, but I think it’s the same when (the song) becomes amulet. Listening to Kore-chan’s songs makes me feel stronger. That’s how Nekrichtkey feels. There aren’t many romance songs, but they do care about others the same thing.” In addition, he expressed his respect for Koresawa, saying, “He’s really cute, but I think he’s the type who has the kind of thing he wants to do. I respect that kind of thing, so I was happy to be able to play against him.” From there, he threw out the straight rock tunes “Chogunyagunya” and “Abekobe”, as well as the “fashionable strategy” that he showed off with Kazuma Takei (Dr)’s powerful play and Nakamura Ikuka (Key)’s elegant keyboard solo. At the end of the show, “Howl’s Sunset,” Mossa sang loudly and handed the baton, saying, “Today is the best day! Next is this turn!”
During the conversion, we broadcast a radio titled “Date with You Radio” and introduced the responses to a survey conducted by DJ Koresawa on Nekrichtokie. We also brought together the details that will also be close to the private lives of the five of them. When asked, “If you’re going on a date alone with Koresawa, what kind of date do you plan?”, Koresawa was interested in a date that was proposed by Mossa, a trip to department store cosmetics planned by Fujita, and a cat cafe and dog cafe date in Nakamura. On the other hand, Asahi’s response, “I want to go and attend a trial. I’m sure my first trial would be recommended for my first interview,” and when Takei responded, “Let’s enter the studio and have a session,” he commented, “I don’t want to (lol). I’m not good at sessions,” which drew the audience laughing.
After the radio broadcast, Koresawa appears in a ruffled set-up, following support members Higuchi Kei (Gt), Nakamura Shoko (Ba), U (Dr), and Saito Wataru (Key). Her cute date outfit captivates the audience’s eyes. The floor was enveloped in the pink light of a penlight, and then performed “On the Night Before a Date,” and sang aggressively the popular early song “If I want to be my girlfriend.”

As Saito plays the background music for “Date with You Radio,” Koresawa asks the audience, “Can I do a survey to see what kind of people are coming today?” When the many couples raised their hands when asked, “Who’s the one you like and who’s here?” Koresawa had a big stir and said, “Yaaa♡!” He also sang “If you have a boyfriend, listen to this song carefully! And please be sure to protect what I sing from now on,” and sang “If you’re cheating,” with an emotional sound. From there, he continued his recent hit song “To All My Ex-girlfriends,” and brought out a gem of love songs that combine the old and new. At the end of the song, he blew a cracker set up on the back of the acoustic guitar head, shocking the audience.
Nekrichtooky and Koresawa have been interacting for a long time, such as going to see each other’s live shows. “When I saw them doing ‘Forgive me! Hattori’ live concerts while communicating with the fans, I thought it was really good. They were like fighting each other with passion and passion (laughs). It was really moving and educational, and since it’s my favorite song, I did it together,” he recalled the collaboration. He also said, “I’m going to do a song that I can only do in a while at times like this,” and performed an acoustic version of the popular song, “Oscilloscope,” which expresses the invisible fluctuations of affection and emotions, and an acoustic version of the popular song “Nyannyannyan.” The audience got excited by cat poses and chorus.

“From here on, I’m going to rock! I’m a rock star,” Koresawa said enthusiastically, and sang “At the end of the live show” while strumming her electric guitar. The arrangement, which incorporates a lot of texture, also gives a sense of respect for Nekrite Town, and the excitement in the venue grew even more. When Saito let out an ethnic sitar-style tone, he went to “You and Indian Curry,” which sang about a couple on their first date at a curry restaurant. In the middle of the episode, Asahi appears with naan and sings the Indian part, and cheers erupt. He continued to perform the classic live performance number “SSW,” which enhanced the sense of unity on the floor.
Here, Koresawa announced on March 19th that she would release her first album in four years, “To You Who Chosen Me and To You Who Chosen Me.” The dramatic number “To You Who Didn’t Choose Me,” which is a song from the album, was first performed in a band, ahead of the pre-release on February 26th. Then they called out Mossa and gave a duet “♡Life♡”. The two of them cling to each other by folding their shoulders and singing with their eyes, and captivated by their sweet singing voices. A chorus erupted towards the end, and the venue was filled with a peaceful atmosphere. After the performance, all the members of Neklite Town were invited to take a commemorative photo. The two groups were so happy that they were all cheering on the audience, saying, “Please continue to be friends!”, and the event reached a great end.

Koresawa has excited the packed floor with set lists and collaborations that are based on the theme of “date.” Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the fans, saying, “If you’ve got tickets for the tour, see you again. Thank you for today!” and left the stage. All nationwide tours held from May to August have already sold out. It was a night that raised expectations as he made his biggest tour.
