Lovely Summer’s first new mini-album in four and a half years, Music For Walking (Out Of The Woods), was released today.
This work is based on the theme of “health and introspection,” and expresses what he felt while staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, and the “microbial nature of a human body, the world in which that body exists and the world in which that body exists.” Influenced by rock in the 1990s, it will be presented to the Japanese music scene as a rock that is currently ongoing through its natural pop sense filter.
The support members were Yoshizawa Hibiki (Sekaiichi) on drums, Uda Makoto (ayutthaya/nenem/Nanakamba) on bass, Okumura Dai (wash?) on guitar, and Baba Kotaro (NENGU). The mastering of all the songs is done by Mark Gardner, a representative British band in the shoegaze scene, RIDE guitar vocalist.
The mini album includes five songs: M-1 “Under Construction,” inspired by Mori Ogai’s short films, M-2 “(Song For Walking) In My Mind,” which evokes the cheerful, exciting guitar intro, M-3 “OK, Shady Lane,” which gives you the overwhelming approval of any way you live!, M-4 “The Great Time Killer,” a rock dance tune that reminds you of Primal Scream’s ROCKS and David Bowie’s Rebel Rebel, and M-5 “(Song For Walking) Out Of The Woods,” which is decorated with a beautiful, gentle worldview, as well as the finest secret tracks that are familiar to you. I hope you enjoy listening.
The cover of the jacket is a special sticker that can be peeled off and stuck on multiple occasions of the adorable character “Kusuri-kun” walking through the vibrant greenery, making it a special sticker that can be taken anywhere for a walk. I would like you to take Kusuri-kun to various places for walks. The booklet has a rich content, with self-liner notes and chord charts from the songs included.
