New generation rapper #KTCHAN, who made his major debut in January, released his singles for three consecutive months and successfully toured Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, took the stage for the first time at Aoyama Book Center.
At a talk event to commemorate the release of her first book, “I want to return the knife that came flying over me as a present,” she held a conversation with Chokaro Momoka, a hopeful young storyteller who is rumored to change the history of women’s rakugo.
At first glance, the two seem to have no connection to each other, but it can be seen that they share a common sense in their stances and lifestyles. The conversation was made possible because they were “challenging themselves without being bound by the surroundings or common sense,” and because they were in different industries, the HIPHOP and Rakugo worlds, but were “entertainers who weave words and entertain each other.”

The venue is different from the usual rap stage, giving it a pleasant sense of dignity and tension. At the start of the show, #KT CHAN and Chokaro Peach Flowers were immediately taken to the stage. While talking about their impressions of each other, Chokaro Momoka talked about the parts that left an impression on her in “I want to return the knife that came flying over me as a present.”
And in order to try new things and stick to yourself, perhaps there was some dissed, harassment, and unrequited criticism? In response to this question, #KTCHAN exploded with the #KTCHAN world, saying, “I actually want to be dissed. I love being dissed because diss can be a good advantage!”

In rap and rakugo, he took the stance of entertainers who enjoy words by wiping and entertaining them, and he received a series of questions about activities that allow him to freely handle words. What was particularly memorable was that the world of rappers and rakugo is still a industry with a lot of men, and the exchange of opinions was heated, taking into account the situation where society as a whole is becoming more and more gender-free, with how women can overcome the difficulties and disadvantages of women.
The event ended in a flash in 60 minutes. It was our first meeting, but it was quite exciting and it was always a positive conversation.

#KTCHAN’s next appearance event will be “@LIVE1.99” on Saturday, July 5th at Daikanyama UNIT. Be sure to check out the events where rappers, dancers and bands meet!
