"Akuri Onishi 2nd LIVE ~Meet a DATE~" was held at Yokohama Landmark Hall on Saturday, May 18th. The 2nd live performance sold out both daytime and nighttime performances. Report on the exciting night performance!

The concept of “Akuri Onishi 2nd LIVE ~Meet a DATE~” is, as the title of the live shows, enjoy a date with Agupon (Akuri Onishi). Not only the live setlist, but also the original narration and even the costumes were designed based on the date, making it a very conceptual live.

Part of the stage set is Agpon’s room, with a bed, a hanger rack with clothes on it, and a large stuffed bear on the bed. When the show starts, you can hear the music box and Agupon’s narration. The story consisted of them talking about how excited they were the day before their date, and in the end, they fell asleep peacefully, looking forward to their second date in Yokohama…

After waking up and getting out of bed, the intro to the opening number “Ambiguous Girl” plays, and Agupon appears from the audience door wearing a cute pink pajama-like costume! The venue erupted into a roar at the sudden surprise, but Agpon continued to sing while waving as he walked right next to the audience. From the second chorus, they perform on stage. There were some well-matched calls, and the tension in the venue increased even more. “Koi Yori Zutto Only you” gets you in the mood right from the intro, where you sing while sitting on the bed, hug a teddy bear, choose clothes…Agpon’s every move, each time. The fans who reacted were very reliable.

They suddenly performed two songs from their latest single, “Fugaku Girl,” and then everyone got excited together for the song “Hatsukoi Colors,” in which they sing “What color is this feeling for you?”. Even so, the amount of enthusiasm and volume of voices of Agpon fans is extraordinary.

When the song is finished, the narration resumes. Agpon changes into his date clothes and fantasizes about how “you” will react. “You” say you’re cute today unlike usual… Does that mean I’m not cute like usual? Then, my delusions expanded in a strange direction, and I suddenly burst into Coles asking, “What do you think of me?” Of course, the fans scream “so cute” with all their might, and Agpon’s style is to make them scream over and over again. The fans were also happy and kept shouting out how cute she was in louder and louder voices.

With that enthusiasm, they moved on to their debut song, “Today is a sunny day.” Agupon, who has changed into her white and light blue costume, sings about the feelings of a maiden in love, including her sadness. Next, she performed “Fingertip Heart” with a cute choreography in which she made a heart with her fingertips. After two songs in a row, she sings about how much she loves you and gets excited, and then goes back to the narration.

This time, on the train heading to the meeting place, I look back on the memories I have had with “you” so far. Here, I incorporated actual memories with fans from live shows, etc., so there was laughter from the audience, and I felt that it felt more like I was on a date with Agpon.

While sitting on a bench above the stage, they sang the heartbreaking love song “Natsuyume Hanabi” with their heartfelt photos projected on a screen in the background, and the audience sat down to listen intently to the song. Then, with “Hana no Aozora” and “Tie, Hiraite,” the group picks itself up again and gets excited. Furthermore, they had fun while clapping during the groovy “Gaze of Love.”

“Summer Fireworks” is a song that reminds us of the time when we had unrequited love but couldn’t say we loved each other while watching fireworks, while “Tie, Open” is a song that says “Let’s smile forever in the future.” Before the interlude of this song, I added the line “Because I love you,” but by adding narration and various productions, the songs I’ve released so far can sound different and add new appeal. It was wonderful to see that.

The final narration after “Gazes of Love” is about imagining an amusement park date about to begin at the meeting place. And this time, she decides to send her courage to a girl who is just as excited as she is, and her “diary in her heart” comes to a close.

And then, Agupon appears with a changed costume! He sang a sad rock tune, “Even if we can’t meet in a dream.” This song has grown through live performances, and I feel like it’s now becoming a song where we can confirm our feelings with our fans. There was a very long interlude, and the fans used their voices with all their might. Just when Agpon is tired and his voice is about to get low, he yells “More!” to encourage his fans. The relationship of trust and bond between the two is strong. Then, in the final part where Agupon shouts, everyone chants “rock and roll” and becomes one.

This is Agpon’s first MC since developing the world of “~Meet a DATE~”. He talked about his impressions of this live show, saying that everyone’s voices were so loud that it didn’t matter that he was wearing earphones, and said, “You’ll be excited until the end, right?” The song ended on a happy note, singing about the wonders of the song.

In response to the loud voices, the encore was a live original version of “Jellyfish Na Kimi e” with a beautiful piano intro and a gentle singing of the first chorus. The intro, newly arranged by Shunryu himself, was truly wonderful. From there, the song returns to the regular A-melody and Agupon appears, creating the most exciting scene of the day. Loud calls, claps…everyone was having fun with every last ounce of energy, and I was once again reaffirmed that Shunryu’s songs look amazing live. Furthermore, they sang “Elder Flower” with great enthusiasm while waving to the fans.

During the final MC, they took a survey to find out which of the four outfits they wore that day and asked which one they liked the most, and enjoyed interacting with fans. At the end of the encore, she sang the coupling song “Ready to fly” from her debut song with cute choreography and ended the show with a smile on her face… However, in response to the big applause, a double encore was held! If you sing this song during the daytime and evening performances, you will have sung all the songs you have released so far! After saying this, everyone gave a loud title call, and with the best intro that you will become addicted to once you hear it, they sang “Hajimaru Welcome” with the biggest smiles on their faces, ending the second live with great success.

On August 10th, it has been decided that the “Akuri Onishi Fan Meeting (tentative)” will be held at Yamano Hall! I also want you to share a fun time with Agpon.
