Promising young pianist Yuki Yoshimi releases his debut album! A recital based on the “Chopin & Liszt” program has also been decided.

Tomoki Yoshimi is a promising young pianist. When he was in his second year of high school, he became the youngest winner of the 86th Japan Music Competition, a gateway to success for young musicians, and then entered the prestigious New England Conservatory in the United States. In recent years, he has made his presence felt at the Queen Elisabeth International Competition and the Van Cliburn International Competition, and is attracting attention as a pianist who will take flight on the world stage in the future.

This long-awaited debut album features Liszt’s masterpiece “Piano Sonata in B minor”. This sonata is an indispensable work that Yoshimi has performed on big stages such as Nihon On Con and Van Cliburn, and it can be called a synonymous song. The coupling also includes works from the “German Three B”: Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms. This debut album showcases Yoshimi’s sensitive expressiveness and robust pianism, which captivates the heart with just a single note.

Solo recitals have also been decided, and will be held on August 29th at Aoyama Music Memorial Hall Baroque Saal (Kyoto) and September 1st at Ginza Oji Hall (Tokyo). In the recital, he will perform Chopin’s works in the first half and Liszt’s sonatas in the second half.
