Mochizuki Ryuka (29), who made her debut with “Love Love” in 2020, won the Newcomer Award for the Record Award that year, and celebrated her fifth anniversary in 2025, released “Wagamama”, a song written by Komuro Tetsuya, on July 23rd, held a commemorative concert at Kabukicho Theatre in Shinjuku.
Mochizuki attended a press conference before the performance,
In the same kimono as the CD cover, she sang the enka version of TM NETWORK’s “Get Wild,” which was included in the single, along with her new song “Wagamama,” to the media.
Regarding the new song “Wagamama,” Mochizuki introduced, “This song is a very luxurious song written and composed by Komuro Tetsuya and arranged by Miyazaki Shinji. As the title suggests, “Wagamama.” I think everyone has had an experience of feeling extremely selfish because they are things they love and people they love. This song describes those feelings.”
Regarding her 5th anniversary of her debut, she replied, “I have come this far thanks to everyone who has really supported me. I think I’ve been able to reach this far thanks to the staff and family who supported me. I’m so happy that I wouldn’t have been able to reach this far without the support of everyone. I’m so grateful. What really impressed me was that I won the Newcomer Award for the Record Award.” She then replied, “I never dreamed that Komuro Tetsuya would have written and composed the lyrics and music, so I was really surprised. I’m very happy. When I first listened to her, there were a lot of alterations, so I thought it was Komuro’s enka. Komuro wanted her to sing in a cute way, just like she said. There aren’t many old-fashioned elements that only enka can have, and I think it’s enka that’s easy to hear even for modern people.”
In the future, he expressed his enthusiasm, “I hope to be able to spread enka around the world as an enka singer, and to help young people fall in love with it, so that they can convey the charm of enka.”
At the concert, which marks the 5th anniversary of his debut, 150 fans watched, and guests featured Sumida Aiko (17), who also works with the idol group “OVAL SISTEM”, produced by Komuro Tetsuya, and “Aicong”, who is also provided with songs from Komuro Tetsuya. In addition to her original enka songs she has released so far, she also performed covers of enka that she has influenced.
