No Buses has dropped their latest single “Slip, Fall, Sleep,” marking their first release since “Ecohh” in November, approximately two months ago. This first release of 2024 contrasts delicate guitars and minimalistic progressions with fuzzy, aggressive bursts, creating a striking dynamic between stillness and motion. It starts with the characteristic gentle strumming of No Buses, then suddenly plunges into destructive drums, bass, and guitar, as if tearing everything apart, before quietly returning to a whisper-like vocal delivery. The lyrics, rich with Japanese, are also noteworthy. Accompanying the single is its music video, directed by No Buses’ guitarist/vocalist Daiki Kondo and Raichi.
On February 10th (Saturday), a one-night-only solo concert is scheduled at Tokyo’s Shibuya Spotify O-EAST. The show will feature fan-submitted memories and videos in its production.
Furthermore, according to the band’s info account, they’re already gearing up for the release of another new track, “Team Us You Me.” Stay tuned for more updates.
No Buses Comment
Lately, we’ve been recording instruments in the studio and gathering at members’ homes to record. It feels like we at No Buses (and probably many others) are constantly facing ourselves, sometimes in silence, sometimes exploding, each at our own pace. This song might just be a reflection of that.

Artist Profile: No Buses
The band consists of Daiki Kondo (vo, g), Shinya Goto (g), Saori Sugiyama (b), and Kazumori Ichikawa (ds). The band’s name is derived from a song by the Arctic Monkeys, formed around Kondo and Goto. Their rise to fame began with the release of their 1st single “”Tic”” in 2018, whose music video gained significant attention. This led to features in French Rolling Stone and other European media outlets. Following appearances at events like SUMMER SONIC and supporting acts for visiting artists, they released their 1st album “”Boys Loved Her”” in 2019.
