(G)I-DLE captivates 20,000 fans at Tokyo performance of world tour!

Global girl group (G)I-DLE held the Tokyo performance of their world tour “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR (iDOL),” which visits 14 cities around the world, at Ariake Arena in Tokyo for two days on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st.

(G)I-DLE appeared with the opening song “Super Lady” and had an overwhelming presence from the start, instantly livening up the atmosphere in the venue. As the fans cheered, they performed “Revenge” and “LATATA”, further exciting the venue with their powerful performance.

In the opening comment, they greeted the audience in their improved Japanese and communicated with the local fans. In the following songs, “Oh my god,” “VILLAIN DIES,” and “Doll,” the immersive stage drew the fans into the unique world of (G)I-DLE.

Shuhua, who opened the solo stage, performed “Water (DANCE COVER.)”. She captivated the fans with her sexy dance moves and perfect expressiveness. Next, YUQI performed “RADIO (DUM DUM)”, which was released on this tour, showing off her cool and free style. During the song, she even excited the audience with a unique performance in which she rode a shopping cart to the center stage.

Minnie’s ballad “Like a Dream” captivated the fans with her gentle voice and fantastic performance, filling the venue with a harmonious atmosphere. Next, Soyeon’s self-composed song “Not Enough” was performed in Japanese specially for the Tokyo concert. The familiar atmosphere of the song, which was created to resemble an animation theme song, delighted the audience. Miyeon, who tried composing for the first time for this world tour, performed “Sky Walking” with a mysterious atmosphere, highlighting her new talent.

As the concert reached the middle, they started “Wife.” The colorful wigs that were so impressive in the music video appeared enlarged on the center stage, and the members emerged from within the wigs to excite the fans with the rhythm. They then played hit songs like “Uh-Oh,” and then got in an open car to start “Klaxon.” There was also a moment when they sang along with the fans, getting the crowd excited. “Fate” began with loud cheers, and the members and fans joined in a great chorus, and the members were seen singing along lively in the following songs “Allergy” and “Never Stop Me.”

In the second half of the concert, they appeared with a wild atmosphere and performed “LION”. They showed their charismatic side in the following songs “POP/STARS” and “MY BAG”, capturing the hearts of the fans. After the atmosphere in the venue was completely warmed up, they performed the hit songs “Queencard” and “TOMBOY”, and the excitement in the venue reached its peak. The main part of the concert ended with a huge cheer.

The members came back on stage to welcome back the calls for an encore, and performed “i’M THE TREND,” which has become a staple of encores. The dance break during the song sent the fans into a frenzy. Feeling even more love from their Japanese fans at this Tokyo concert, the members performed Aimyon’s “Marigold” as a special stage performance, warming the atmosphere in the venue. At the end of the encore, they performed “7Days” (DAY 1) and “Neverland” (DAY 2), bringing the show to a close while conveying their love to the fans.
