The choreography of "ME:I" is a hot topic! YUMEKI's first photo book "ON STAGE" will be released by Futabasha on Thursday, July 25, 2024! In addition, an event will be held on Sunday, August 4!

YUMEKI is a Japanese dancer and choreographer who came into the spotlight on the audition program “PRODUCE101 JAPAN THE GIRLS” (commonly known as Nipu Girls) held in 2023. His first photo book “ON STAGE” was released by Futabasha on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

The shoot took place in his hometown of Kanagawa Prefecture and in Tokyo. From his first ever horseback riding shots, to his relaxed expressions as he stuffs his face with donuts and pizza, to rare dance practice scenes, to a moment walking around a temple in a kimono amid falling cherry blossoms, to a Korean restaurant, to everyday scenes in bed, this book contains many never-before-seen scenes of his “true self.” In addition, it also contains an interview in which he talks about his meeting with Nakasone Rino, the behind-the-scenes story of his audition, the untold story of his debut song “ME:I,” his own theory on choreography, the K-pop idols that shocked him, and the artists he would like to choreograph for in the future, making this a must-have book for fans.

In addition, to commemorate the release of the photo book, an event will be held at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA on Sunday, August 4th. This time, I will be releasing my first photo book!

I was able to take lots of photos in my hometown of Kanagawa Prefecture and in Tokyo that I’m sure my fans will enjoy.

My favorite scene is the Ferris wheel scene. I used it as the cover photo, and I think it captures my sensibility well. Another memorable photo was taken in the middle of a rapeseed field while holding an umbrella in the rain.

Based on the concept of “regular YUMEKI” and “YUMEKI that you can’t usually see,” we danced, wore yukata, rode horses… In the interview, I talked about a lot of things, from behind-the-scenes stories about the audition to what I keep in mind when creating choreography.

The event on August 4th will be our first in a while, so we’re looking forward to meeting all our fans!

YUMEKI

Born November 12, 1999. Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. Dancer and choreographer. Started learning dance at the age of 13, and after graduating from high school, began working as a dancer in earnest. After that, in 2020, he signed a contract as an exclusive choreographer at a Korean dance studio and became active in the K-POP dance industry. In 2018, he appeared in the choreography video for NCT TEN’s “COCO CHANEL” and became a hot topic, and participated in the choreography of famous K-POP artists such as ITZY’s “WANNABE”, EXO BAEKHYUN’s “Addicted”, and SHINee’s “Heart Attack”. In 2023, he appeared as a dance trainer on the audition program “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS” and attracted attention.
