This is the latest EP by Kaoru Inoue, a world-famous DJ, musician and music producer who has been active under the names Chari Chari and Kaoru Inoue for 30 years since his debut in 1994.

The album contains six carefully selected tracks from the LP album “Dedicated to the Island -soundwalk & music for SAUNTER magazine-“, which was released worldwide at RECORD STORE DAY 2024 in April this year and sold out in many stores. Kaoru Inoue has reworked the tracks herself, as well as remixes by the up-and-coming Argentinian artist SidiRum, and unreleased tracks.

The album will be released at Record Day 2024, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year! (Held on November 3rd)

Kaoru Inoue’s new 6-track EP “Rhythms of Dedication” is complete. It can be considered a sequel to the LP “Dedicated to the Island,” which was released at Record Store Day 2024 and received a great response from overseas.

The album will feature a remix by SidiRum, an Argentine artist from South America who is an outstanding talent in the Slow House/Tribal scene, as well as self-reworks of songs from the previous LP, tracks that have been released on vinyl for the first time, and unreleased tracks, and will be released at Japan’s record festival, Record Day 2024.

The album is a selection of songs from the previous LP, which was heavy on ambient and environmental music elements, but as the title suggests, rhythmic elements have been added to create an organic, leftfield dance collection. Pressed by Toyo Kasei, one of Japan’s leading labels with a strong track record and high technical capabilities, expectations are high for the quality of the album, just like the previous work.

Kaoru Inoue

Kaoru Inoue, DJ/musician. After playing in a band as a guitarist, he was introduced to Acid Jazz in 1989 and became immersed in DJ culture. In 1994, he released his first song under the name Chari Chari. Since then, he has released songs and remixes under his real name and various other names on labels both in Japan and overseas, and has continued to work as a DJ at clubs, outdoor rave parties, and various other venues, regardless of size. In recent years, his DJ style, which combines a variety of music such as jazz, ambient, Balearic, and experimental music with his unique aesthetic eye, has been well received.
