Two years have passed since he announced his professional debut, which shocked the world. The one and only artist who achieved two consecutive Olympic gold medals has continued to challenge himself to reach new heights even after turning professional. The fourth session between the rare skater Yuzuru Hanyu and photographer Mika Ninagawa was shot in eight different situations with the themes of “heart” and “skill.” The two books, the all-black “Yuzuru Hanyu Photo Book Shin” and the all-color “Yuzuru Hanyu Photo Book Gi” (AERA special edition) will be released simultaneously on Friday, November 1, 2024.

He won the Sochi and Pyeongchang Olympics for two consecutive years, and attempted the unprecedented quad axel… Yuzuru Hanyu has always aimed for greater heights as a unique figure skater. He continues to have the same inquisitiveness and forge ahead, just as he did when he started skating. In “Yuzuru Hanyu Photo Collection Shin,” we will explore the origins of Hanyu, who turns 30 this year.
