Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has partnered with Universal Pictures’ The Fall Guy, a gripping, action-packed film with an all-star cast and directed by blockbuster director David Leitch.
The film will be released in theaters in Japan on August 16, 2024, and is produced by 87 North Productions. Academy Award® nominated actress Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place series) plays Colt Sievers, a scarred veteran stuntman who becomes embroiled in the disappearance of the lead character in a big-budget film produced by his ex-girlfriend and film director Jodie Moreno. TAG Heuer brand ambassador and Academy Award-winning actor®The role will be played by nominee actor Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Blade Runner 2049). With this campaign, TAG Heuer continues its unique collaboration with Ryan Gosling as the film’s official watch sponsor. La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland – August 16, 2024:TAG Heuer brand ambassador Ryan Gosling plays Colt Sievers, a working-class hero who pursues a missing movie star, uncovers a conspiracy and tries to reunite with his beloved, all while working as a stuntman in the film “The Fall Guy.” The film features some of the most spectacular stunts ever, including Colt gliding across the Sydney Harbour Bridge on a metal plate.
The film marks the latest in a unique collaboration between the Hollywood actor and TAG Heuer, and Gosling once again chose TAG Heuer as the perfect watch for the role.
“The Fall Guy” marks the second collaboration between TAG Heuer and the production team following “The Chase for Carrera,” a thrilling action-comedy short film made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Carrera last year. “The Chase for Carrera” was shot in Sydney while Gosling was there filming “The Fall Guy,” for director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick’s 87 North Productions (Bullet Train, Nobody, Violent Night). In this all-action short, Gosling plays himself. As in “The Fall Guy,” he is an actor who excels at action outside of his roles, as he desperately tries to escape the “prop master” (Vanessa Bayer) who is pursuing him to retrieve his beloved TAG Heuer Carrera.
In The Fall Guys, Gosling not only demonstrates his stunt skills, but also the TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph in “glass box” design that he wears on his wrist.
