The cover photo and track list for singer Shizuka Kudo’s new album “Meikyou Shisui,” which will be released on July 3rd, have been revealed.
The cover photo shows her wearing a white dress and reflected in the mirror-like water, just like the album’s title.
The tracklist has also been released, with “Kasetsu Ran ~I Love You More Than Love~” being followed by “The Third Planet,” a collaboration between Sukima Switch’s Takuya Ohashi and Airi (Kudo Shizuka’s writing name). Following “Maru,” the ending theme to the anime “Ojarumaru,” comes “Sleet,” written by Hashiguchi Yohei of the five-member band wacci. Then there are “Iced Coffee” and “I am ready,” composed by Kōki and with lyrics by Airi. Seven new songs have been recorded, including “Boo,” “Go easy!,” and “Sea glass,” composed by Shiraishi Satori and with lyrics by Airi. Tomomi from SCANDAL plays bass on “Sea glass.”
A teaser for the symphonic concert “RENAISSANCE CLASSICS Kudo Shizuka PREMIUM SYMPHONIC CONCERT 2024,” which was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Concert Hall on May 12th and will be included in the limited edition, was also released. With a luxurious full orchestra as backing, the stage was “wrapped in mellow, full-bodied sounds,” according to Kudo Shizuka.
