It has been announced that KOTORI’s drummer, Chihiro Hosokawa, will be leaving the band. The solo live tour “Japanese Super Perfect Tour” starting on June 18th at Spotify O-EAST in Shibuya will be the last tour with the current lineup. From now on, the band will continue activities with a support drummer.
KOTORI released her fourth full album “KOTORI” last week on May 29th. She will be touring the album on a solo live tour in eight cities, with the final show to be held on July 13th at Sapporo SPiCE.

As previously announced, I am leaving the band.
It’s been five years since I joined the group,
I felt that what I wanted to express through music was gradually changing.
As we worked together, gaps arose between me and the other members, but each time we filled the gap and moved forward.
However, I just couldn’t continue working while harboring feelings that were different from everyone else’s, so I came to this conclusion.
Sorry for surprising you.
When my previous band broke up and I was trying to survive on my own,
It was KOTORI who reached out to me.
I was surprised at first because I never thought I’d be in a rock band again,
As I performed live with them, I began to feel like I wanted to walk the path with them, and so I naturally became a member.
I have never regretted that decision back then, and I was genuinely happy that they invited me.
The people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had through this band are all treasures to me.
Thank you for inviting me then.
I’m not quitting music, and the other three have chosen to keep going.
I remember drinking so much that I got sick of it, talking about music in the car on night trips, and so on.
Right now, we’re both thinking about moving forward.
I hope there is light in the future for both of us.
Thank you to everyone who accepted me when I joined midway through and to everyone who has been involved with me up until now.
I’ll tell you everything else in the remaining shows.

A four-member band formed in Koshigaya, Saitama in 2014. They are affiliated with Small Indies Table.
The emotional singing voice of Yuya Yokoyama (Vo/Gt), who delicately writes about everyday life and shouts loudly, and the strong rhythm create a vivid and outstanding performance, and the rock sound that overwhelms the floor continues to ring out. KOTORI’s music, whose songs resonate endlessly and are sung by the audience, is now in 2023, and is one of the most important bands in the band scene that can resonate greatly with the same generation.
In July 2023, they will perform at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’23 for the third time. The RED MARQUEE stage ended with great success. In September, they held a tour to release their EP “Good Luck” with 27 performances in 25 cities nationwide. The performances were sold out in each area.
In 2024, they will release their fourth new album “KOTORI” on May 29th and hold an album tour in eight cities starting at Shibuya O-EAST on June 18th. They will also appear at major festivals around the country, such as TRIANGLE 2024, ARABAKI ROCK FEST.24, CRAFTROCK FESTIVAL ’24, CAMPASS 2024, Mori, Michi, Ichiba 2024, YON FES, and Lucky Fes!
