Singer-songwriter Yuuka has digitally released her new single “Sunset” through Pony Canyon.
The song was produced by Takuro Okada, a member of the Magic Band who recently demonstrated his excellent taste as a co-producer of Satoko Shibata’s album “Your Favorite Things.” The lyrics were written by Yukawa, the music was composed by Yukawa and Takuro Okada, and the arrangement was done by Takuro Okada.
Yuuka’s traditional organic and folky worldview has not been lost, and this work has been further enhanced with the beat feeling of HipHop, evolving (deepening) into danceable music with a chill worldview. In September, he will release his fourth original album, his first in about two and a half years since his third album, Kotoba no Nai Yoru ni (On a Night Without Words), so stay tuned for further news.
On June 21st, they will hold a two-man live show titled “In Other Words” at Shibuya WWW X, with Yuta Orisaka (band) as a guest. Both acts will perform in a band arrangement, so don’t miss this rare live show.

Yuuga’s commentary on the song “Sunset”
As I was creating music with Okada, I saw a scene filled with light just before the sun sets.
I wrote these lyrics with this feeling in mind: It would be such a waste if you were too shy to say what you want to say during the moment when the setting sun shines through and everything looks beautiful, or if you can’t take a step of courage and express yourself during the time you spend with your loved ones.
I’ve always been the type of person who has missed out on those crucial moments, so I wanted this song to be about embracing those sweet, wonderful moments without any embellishment, to give you a little push, to support you.
The sound of the Magic Band and Okada-kun is so good that if you close your eyes you can see the sunset.

He began his career as a singer-songwriter in 2011.
She has been in charge of the theme song “Meguru” for the movie “The Long Goodbye” and the theme song “Tomoka” for the TBS Friday drama “My Wife is a Primary School Student.” Her 2022 album “On a Night Without Words” was produced with members of her ally Magic Band and she also toured. She has performed at live shows all over the country and at festivals such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL.
She is involved in a wide range of activities, including narration and singing for TV commercials, sound logos, and musicals.
As Yuuka with Magic Band, she was in charge of the theme song and background music for the NHK General TV drama “On the Night of a Lunar Eclipse,” and released the soundtrack “On the Night of a Lunar Eclipse” digitally in March 2023.
Fujiwara Sakura and Yuuka are also active as Jane Jade.
