The contents of Official Hige Dandism’s third major album “Rejoice,” to be released on July 24th, have been announced. It has been decided that a total of 16 songs will be included on the CD, including singles such as “Mixed Nuts,” “Subtitle,” “TATTOO,” and “SOULSOUP.” The track list of the songs included has also been released.
In addition, the new song “Sharon,” which will be included in the album, has been chosen as the theme song for the Kansai TV/Fuji TV drama “Mountain Doctor,” which will begin airing on July 8th at 10pm and star Sugino Yosuke.
“Mountain Doctor” is a mountain medical drama that depicts with overwhelming realism and a grand scale the protagonist, orthopedic surgeon Miyamoto Ayumu, played by Sugino, who is thrown into the field of mountain medical care and becomes a mountain doctor, interacting with senior mountain doctors and patients with various thoughts and feelings, and growing as he faces reality. The story is set in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, and focuses on the “mountain doctors” who rely only on their own knowledge and skills to save the lives of those in front of them.
Official Hige Dandism said of the decision to use the song as the theme song, “We all have a place to belong, and sometimes we forget or neglect one of them. I feel like the sense of helplessness I feel at times like that has always accompanied me since I became a member of society. I went from work and band to band and family, but the sense of helplessness I feel is the same. But both of them support me and make me stronger. I have a place to go back to, I have things I want to work hard at, that happiness, the regret that I can’t have both, and the dreams and purpose in life that I want to achieve even if I have to carry that regret. I feel like the importance of all these emotions came together like a pattern and made me write this song. I hope this song will add a nice touch to the world of Mountain Doctor.” Along with the drama, please pay attention to the new song “Sharon.”
In addition, on July 23rd, the day before the album release, “Official Hige Dandism one-man live 2024 -UNOFFICIAL-” will be held at Zepp Haneda.
Furthermore, starting in September, they will hold the “Official HIGE DANdism Arena Tour 2024 – Rejoice -“, an arena tour with 10 shows in 5 cities across Japan. The tour will kick off at Marine Messe Fukuoka A-kan in Fukuoka, and go on to K Arena Yokohama in Kanagawa, Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, and more.
