BAND-MAID will release the ending song “Protect You” of the TV anime “Grendizer U” digitally on July 5th, the day the anime airs! Teaser video and jacket also revealed!

The world-famous girl band BAND-MAID will be releasing their new song “Protect You” digitally on July 5th. The cover image and teaser video have also been released.

BAND-MAID, who are also known for co-writing Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” with Mike Einziger (Gt) of the American mega-band Incubus, have been well-received for their song “Bestie.” Their first new song in two and a half months is the ending theme for the TV anime “Grendizer U,” a reboot of the TV anime “UFO Robot Grendizer,” based on the original work by Nagai Go, which aired from 1975 to 1977. The combination of “Grendizer,” which is popular around the world, especially in Europe and the Middle East, and BAND-MAID, who are also popular around the world, is attracting attention.

The teaser released at the same time as the release announcement features impressive footage of cool performance scenes, and we can’t wait for the music video to be released. In addition, the artwork for the distribution jacket was produced by SAIKI (Vo) again this time.

BAND-MAID will be performing at festivals such as “RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL” and “SUMMER SONIC 2024” from July onwards, as well as their first hall tour “BAND-MAID HALL TOUR 2024”. Check the official website for details of the various events.
