The series will begin airing on the CBC/TBS network’s “Agaru Anime” time slot on 28 stations nationwide starting July 7th, every Sunday from 11:30pm, and will also be available for unlimited viewing exclusively on Netflix. The latest information on the series was released at the Japan premiere on June 23rd.

The opening/ending themes and the theme song for episode 0 were announced. The opening theme is “LOVE & JUSTICE” sung by Takanashi Koji and FLOW. This song is a special collaboration between Takanashi Koji, who is also responsible for the soundtrack of this work and is world-famous as the composer of the themes of PRIDE and Dynamite! and the “NARUTO” series, and FLOW, who has worked on the opening theme of “NARUTO” and many other anime theme songs. The ending theme is “Superhuman” Kinnikuman (voiced by Miyano Mamoru) with lyrics, composition, and arrangement by APAZZI. The theme song for episode 0 is “Kinnikuman Go Fight!” sung by Kinnikuman (voiced by Miyano Mamoru). The lyrics for the opening theme and the theme song for episode 0 were written by Mori Yukinojo. In addition, a comment was received from Kushida Akira, who was in charge of the original “Kinnikuman Go Fight!”, in which he expressed his expectations and joy for the role to be passed on to Miyano Mamoru, saying, “I’m rooting for you, Miyano! Go Fight!”
We hope you enjoy both songs.

The latest promotional video, which includes the opening theme, has also been released. In this promotional video, a new threat appears on Earth, where peace has come, the Perfect Large Numbers, including Strong the Budo, and the superheroes of justice, including Kinnikuman and Terryman, stand up to them.

Eight new cast members have been announced. They are Atsushi Tamaru as Special Man, Wataru Komada as Canadian Man, Kodai Inaoka as Tile Man, Kentaro Tone as Kalekkuk, Masayuki Kato as Benkiman, Hideo Ishikawa as Knock, Tetsuya Yanagihara as Kazuo Nakano, and Eriko Kadokura as Kimiko Nakano. We hope you look forward to the appearance of these unique characters who are indispensable to this work.

In the 0th episode, which will be aired on July 7th, numerous scenes from the previous series leading up to the Perfect Superhuman Ancestor Arc, including the monster-fighting arc, the Superhuman Olympics arc, the Seven Devil Superhumans arc, the Golden Mask arc, the Dream Superhuman Tag Team arc, and the Battle for the Kinniku Planet Throne arc, will be newly depicted in the Reiwa version of Kinnikuman for the first time in about 30 years.

The original “Kinnikuman” was written by Yudetamago (original scenario writer Shimada Takashi and illustrator Nakai Yoshinori) and began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1979. It is currently being serialized in Weekly Playboy and Weekly Playboy News (both published by Shueisha). The series is a huge hit, with over 77 million copies sold, and the latest volume, 84, is currently on sale. The story follows Kinnikuman, a clumsy and foolish dropout superhuman from Planet Kinnikuman, who, through hard work, friendship and victory, eventually grows into the strongest man in the world of superhuman fighting. The anime began airing in 1983, and the hugely popular Kinkeshi series has sold over 180 million units. The new series will be a continuation of the Battle for the Kinniku Planet Throne arc that was previously broadcast in the anime, and will be produced by Production IG based on the Perfect Superhuman Ancestor Arc, one of the most popular arcs from the original work. The director will be Satou Haru, the series composition will be Fukami Makoto, the character design will be Marufuji Hiroki, the music will be by Takanashi Koji, the voice of Kinnikuman will be Miyano Mamoru, and the voices of Kinniku Mayumi and Prince Kamehame will be played by Kamiya Akira.

Comment from Koji Takanashi

I was so pleased to hear about this wonderful collaboration.
I am so happy to have the opportunity to work with Yukinojo Mori, Hiroaki Suzuki, and everyone in FLOW.
I can only say that I am truly happy!
I had previously worked with FLOW at an anime event in America,
I feel like it was fate that we were able to collaborate on a single piece of work like this.
I was conscious of playing in a way that would match the cool guitar sounds of FLOW!
As a member of the Kinnikuman generation, I read the serialization in real time.
I want to enjoy the series with the same feelings and perspective as the fans!
The soundtrack was also created with great attention to detail,
Please look forward to that as well!!!

FLOW Comment

I’ve been watching Kinnikuman since I was a child. Of course, I was completely absorbed, laughing and crying right up to the battle for the throne. I never thought I’d be able to sing the theme song for a new installment of such a series. I’m overwhelmed with surprise and joy at this unexpected turn of events. I’m also happy to be able to sing the lyrics of my great senior, Yukinojo Mori, once again. The title is LOVE & JUSTICE! I hope you’ll listen carefully to the lyrics and song that will immerse you in the world of Kinnikuman. Let’s enjoy the joy of watching Kinnikuman on anime again and the new story together!

Comment from Mamoru Miyano

I never thought the day would come when I would get to sing “Kinnikuman Go Fight!” so I’m very honored!
With respect to Akira Kushida, he sang as “Kinnikuman”,
I also studied “Go Fight!”, which was previously sung by Akira Kamiya, and approached the recording with a focus on making it sound like Suguru!

The ending theme song, “Choujin,” is a rap-based song with a high-pitched melody, so I was surprised when I first heard the demo version.
However, the momentum of this song perfectly expresses “Kinnikuman”, and as a song, it takes on new challenges that are characteristic of the Reiwa era.
I think it shows the spirit of the production team. Since the notation is “Kinnikuman” singing,
I tried various things to find a way to satisfy the fans. I hope you enjoy it!

Comment from Akira Kushida

[About Kinnikuman’s new music and theme song]
I’m really looking forward to the new Kinnikuman.
I’m looking forward to hearing what it sounds like.
It will transcend time and not only will Kinnikuman’s strength be born, but also a cool love.

[About Go Fight!]
Miyano Mamoru, a Kinnikuman fan, sings “Kinnikuman Go Fight!”
That’s great!
The image of Kinnikuman and Miyano-kun smiling and looking happy comes to mind, and it gets me excited.
Miyano-kun, I’m rooting for you! Go Fight!

Comment from Mr. Shimada (original author)
With Miyano, FLOW, and Takanashi all approved by Kushida, we’re looking forward to hearing the opening and ending themes early on!
I would also love to hear Kushida’s singing voice again, and I pray for a speedy recovery!

The Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman II series have sold over 77 million copies in total (currently the 12th most popular series of all time).
Kinkeshi became a huge hit, selling over 180 million units. The TV anime began airing in April 1983, garnering an average audience rating of 20%. Seven movies have also been made.
In 2011, he resumed serialization of “Kinnikuman” after a 24-year hiatus. In 2012, it was selected as the 7th “This Manga is Amazing” and in 2013, the series reached 100 volumes. Since 2020, it has been serialized online in “Shupure NEWS” and simultaneously published in “Weekly Playboy.”

introduction
Now, let’s begin the continuation of the legend.

In the 1980s, as one of the flagship works of “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha), it led the magazine’s huge leap in circulation. Furthermore, the TV anime series that began airing in 1983 exceeded 20% in viewership ratings, seven theatrical versions were produced, and the capsule toy “Kinkeshi” became a huge hit with a total of over 180 million units shipped. The legendary title “Kinnikuman” has become a social phenomenon!

In November 2011, this work made an unexpected comeback as a weekly serialized manga, just as it had been back then, with the story resuming from where it left off in Weekly Shonen Jump.

This new story is now being made into an anime.
“Kinnikuman” The Perfect Superhuman Ancestor Edition!

A new three-way battle unfolds between the three superhuman armies that have colored past stories – Justice Superhumans, Devil Superhumans, and Perfect Superhumans – each with their own righteous causes!
The story reveals the roots of the “superhuman” species, the increasingly complex human relationships within each organization, the battle between the superhumans’ updated skills, and the drama of unchanging friendship…
Everyone has a reason to fight in their heart!

Animation production will be handled by Production IG, who has produced many masterpieces including the “Ghost in the Shell” series, as well as “Jump” titles such as “Kuroko’s Basketball” and “Haikyu!!”.

Taking over from his predecessor, the legendary voice actor Kamiya Akira, the new voice actor playing the main character, Kinnikuman, is Miyano Mamoru, an undisputed superstar in the voice acting world.

Furthermore, the main staff includes a lineup of talented individuals who have been leading the anime scene in recent years, including director Satou Haru, series composition by Fukami Makoto, character design by Marufuji Hiroki, and music by Takanashi Koji.

It’s been a long hiatus for the anime, spanning 32 years!
Now, Kinnikuman’s new battle begins!

story
Kinnikuman, a prince who came to Earth from Planet Kinniku, at the edge of the universe, had always been ridiculed by useless superhumans and humans, but through an unexpected turn of events he qualified to participate in the Superhuman World Cup, a tournament to determine the world’s best superhuman, and miraculously won the championship, and even went on to win it again the following year!
From then on, he became a central figure among the righteous supermen who protected peace in the universe, and with the power of friendship with his allies such as Terryman and Robin Mask, he managed to fend off rampant enemy forces such as the Evil Supermen who were plotting to rule the world, and the Perfect Supermen who were trying to wipe out all weak supermen from the Earth.
In recognition of his achievements, Kinnikuman survived the final test, the “Kinnikuman Kingship Survival Match,” and took over the throne from his father, becoming the undisputed 58th King of Kinnikuman! He returned to his home planet from Earth, got married, and said goodbye to eight years of fighting.
About a year and a half later, the entire universe was supposed to be enveloped in peace, but…?
