profile

A four-piece band consisting of Tatsuya Maki (vocals/guitar), Shintaro Yanagisawa (guitar), Keisuke Hasegawa (bass), and Jet Seiya (drums). They made their indie debut in 2013 with “Ningen Sanka / Across the University,” and released their first album “Magic Number” after moving to a major label the following year. Since then, they have continued to evolve and leap forward without being bound by genre with each new release, releasing numerous anthems such as “Heisei Pain” and “Amazing Race.” At the root of go!go!vanillas’ crossover sound, which expands the possibilities of rock and roll bands from garage rock and hardcore to ska, funk, R&B, etc., is their unwavering respect and spirit of exploration for roots music, which is their identity. They have also expanded their fan base through constant touring and powerful live performances. During the nationwide tour “DREAMS TOUR 2023-2024” held from 2023 to 2024, they successfully performed a two-day concert at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-11, their largest venue to date. In January 2024, they moved to Pony Canyon’s label IRORI Records. Their first single since the move, “SHAKE,” was recorded overseas for the first time. The song was produced at a prestigious recording studio in London, and is breaking new ground.
