Aiko’s 16th new album “Zanshin Zansho” has been released.
Following the release of the album, an official interview by Mori Hideyuki was published on the aiko official website. In the interview, aiko said about this album, “It’s weird to say this about myself (laughs)… I feel like I’ve made an album that has some charm, and I really feel like I’ve aged properly. This may be the first time I’ve felt that way about this album.” The official interview also delves into the behind-the-scenes stories of the album’s songs, so be sure to read the official interview while listening to the new album.
In addition, the music video for “skirt,” which will be included in the new album “Zanshin Zansho,” will be premiered on YouTube at 9 p.m. on August 28th on aiko’s official YouTube Channel.
The music video for this work is a work that captures a fleeting summer moment, with a variety of beautiful, intense, and thrilling scenes that are pleasantly timed to the rhythm of the song, so please look forward to its release tonight.
The song “skirt” has also been chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime “Apocalypse Hotel” which will air in 2025.
This work is a joint project between CyberAgent and CygamesPictures, and the original character designs are by Izumi Takemoto, who continues to captivate fans with her innovative shoujo SF manga such as “Neko Me~waku Series”, “Teketeke My Heart”, and “Garden Sisters”, and the series composition is by Shigeru Murakoshi, who has worked on many popular works such as “Zombie Land Saga” and “NINJA KAMUI”. A teaser video using the opening theme song “skirt” has been released on the official website, so be sure to check it out.
It has been decided that the new album “Zanshin Zansho” will be released on a 12-inch analog record on December 25th. Pre-orders began on August 28th at noon. It will be a 180g heavyweight record with limited production, so be sure to pre-order early.
Furthermore, it has been decided that five more live karaoke songs by Aiko will be distributed on Karaoke DAM. Live footage carefully selected from past performances of “Love Like Pop” and “Love Like Aloha” will be distributed from August 28th. The five songs to be distributed are “Kabutomushi,” “Sakura no Toki,” “Milk,” “Andromeda,” and “Shiawase.” We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy the live karaoke while also preparing for “Love Like Aloha vol.7,” her first outdoor free live concert in six years, which will be held on August 30th.
