toconoma has announced that their new single “SignaL” will be released digitally on September 18th.

The second single of 2024, this song was already performed at a one-man live at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall last summer, and has been known as a “fast new song” that has excited the audience, so it seems to be a long-awaited release for fans. From the previous work “Open World” that opens the door from everyday life to the next world, this work is a high-speed funk tune that seems to run up to a new stage. The undulating bass supports the danceable breakbeats, and the keyboard and cutting sing-like dialogue is full of toconoma’s unique style. This time, the artwork was created by guitarist Kotaro Ishibashi. Please look forward to the release.

Toconoma is a popular instrumental jam band that has been performing at many domestic festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, Asagiri JAM, and GREENROOM FESTIVAL, as well as overseas performances in Taipei and Hong Kong. In August 2024, they were the opening act at the 2024 Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival, where Ken Matsudaira and Aqua Timez performed, and they really livened up the venue.
